  At first glance you would be forgiven for thinking the hotel has nothing of worth surrounding it. But it actually has a giant shopping complex next door, plenty of good restaurants, the metro station is very close and there is quite a large park a little further away. The breakfast was also decent and the room had kettle facilities.   The location is absolutely the best, when visiting Kiev. Nice cityscape from the window, if your room is high enough. Everything is reachable by walking. The hotel is clean and pleasant, although economy rooms still have their ceramic tiles and doors from hotel's opening in 1961. But it's absolutely OK for the price asked.
