  Lovely stay, great breakfast. Heather looked after us and any made us feel really welcome. We were given a choice of two rooms on arrival which was great. Nothing was too much trouble. The thermostat was adjusted so we had more heat in our room which was very welcome on a rainy day in the lakes(who'd have thought that could happen?) The guest room was very clean and well presented and we had everything we needed and the breakfast was to die for. Heather always made sure we had everything we wanted or needed during our stay. The location of Chestnuts was very good because it was a 15 minute walk to the shops and 20 minutes to the nearest lake. Me and my fiance will be going back there very soon... The staff made us feel very welcome and worked very hard.   Bed was comfortable, good clean bathroom. Food was really excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful. For a one night stay it would be superb.
