Shaldon is a beautiful, spotlessly clean village with plenty of character. Hosts were very helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast plentiful and good. Bed very comfortable and room warm on a very chilly weekend. Milk in a flask rather than mini cartons. Good size TV. Large shower. Soft, fluffy towels and flannels, changed daily. Nice seating area in bay window looking out over the green.It was a good thing there was parking as on road parking would have been difficult, and must be tricky in .

Good location with friendly staff, clean comfortable room, facilities were entirely as advertised, good shower, good breakfast - and very good that this was available from 0800-1000 so relaxed morning, time for a walk before breakfast. Potters Mooring is actually in Shaldon rather than in Teignmouth for which we were duly grateful - a very pleasant village with good cafe and pubs. Lovely location overlooking bowling green in very tranquil village type setting. Great little country pub 5 mins walk away, with patio garden overlooking the Teign. Plenty of spaces in hotel car park Linda and her husband very friendly and welcoming - superb cooked breakfast served in the gorgeous oak panelled dining room. We were on a cycle trip in Devon. We were met by a friendly owner who locked our bikes away. The room was good and the shower hot. Breakfast was excellent. We were directed to a variety of local places to eat but settled on a very new establishment only about a hundred metres away.We had an excellent evening meal. This is a lovely small guest house, set in a lovely coastal village, run by a lovely helpful couple - yes, we enjoyed a 'lovely' short stay, and intend to use it as a base for further visits, as it is so well placed as a base, with so many places of interest relatively nearby to visit. We had a really lovely short break. The owners\staff couldn't do enough for us. The breakfasts were amazing and very tasty. I could recommend this B&B enough. Parking was a little tight but that was just a small observation compared with the top notch service that we experienced. Lovely picturesque village with winding lanes and views of the river. Nice places to eat within walking distance. Pity I was there for work! Room was spotless and bed comfy. Lovely toiletries provided. Breakfast menu wide and the cooked meal arrived quckly and was very good. We had the smaller cottage which had double and single bed upstairs and fully equipped kitchen and two seater settees in lounge - probably for self-catering. Very spacious, clean and homely. Village green across the road with garden seating and local ferry to town. The couple running the hotel were lovely. The family room we stayed in had a kitchen, dining area and a small reception room. The bedrooms and bathroom were on another floor. Overall it was a lovely place and would return if we had the chance. lovely welcoming place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Great breakfasts,and extremely helpful and accommodating hosts, nothing too much trouble.Easy access to the village and beach. Would definitely stay again!. My wife & I received a really warm welcome from Linda we were made to feel at home right from the outset. The Pipers Mooring is very well located for food & drink. John cooks a really nice breakfast. Friendly staff - changed my room on arrival as I was considered to be tall at 6ft 2' and helpful with suggestions for dinner. Better facilities than some stared hotels Very clean & comfortable. Owners were very helpful and friendly. They dealt with a difficult situation when the room had a plumbing problem by offering us their own room when alternative accommodation could not be found. Loved the feel of the hotel with wood panelling and lovely modern design that tied in perfectly. Staff were wonderful - helpful and very friendly, taking special care with my elderly mum. The room and ensuite were spacious and clean. Linda and Robert were friendly. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. Great location, walking distance from beach, restaurants, pubs. Don't be put off by the 'tired' exterior, inside it is probably the cleanest, best kept hotel we have stayed in for years. Fantastic breakfast and dog friendly. Wonderful find !. Friendliness of staff, nothing too much trouble. It was a wet couple of days but towels were provided for the dog and we were able to dry our macs and boots in the boiler room. Car parking a little tight when a number of estate cars are parked which makes it difficult to manoeuvre to get out into the narrow road outside of the property but it is a small village so should be expected. Nothing to report. Not didn't like but need to note parking tight so you need to be able to get out of small spaces. Liked everything. Room would benefit from coasters so we didn't feel guily and have to use paper to have our drinks by the bed. Very tight parking facilities, but that's Shaldon. At least we HAD free parking. Nothing. Nothing to dislike!. Nothing. Parking - limited and very difficult access. N/A. The narrowness of the streets (not for the faint-hearted) Eiderdown duvet, not suitable for allergy sufferers!. Water can be very hot ! And shower can be hot one minute and cold the next . Parking available but can be tricky.
