I had a lovely stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful because I was not very mobile. They also moved my room for my convenience as a result without me asking. I took my dog. They were sweetness itself, providing a bed, water bowl and treats for her. The room was trendy/comfortable and I slept really well in the bed there. Big breakfast cups to make a cup of tea in were nice. The breakfast was top notch, especially the local, hand produced sausages. I cannot fault this hotel and would st.
所有评语 » They catered for 14 of us for my 50th Birthday - helped me to have my best birthday ever. Staff were relaxed, friendly and attentive. They put on a great meal in a snug room which Karen and Kem made beautiful and didn't fuss when we all got a bit drunk - just helped us enjoy ourselves. Highly recommended for any celebration. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable facilities. Excellent breakfast. Within walking distance of castle, Green Howards Regimental Museum and Georgian Theatre. Will be my first choice for my next stay. Good location to places of interest. Set in the town centre and staff were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was also very good with both continental and full English with a choice of items. Hotel in excellent position just off the market square. Lovely breakfast and good clean en suite room, have had bigger but not needed when only staying a few days. The location, age of the hotel, layout of the hotel. food was excelent. Central location. Nothing. Nothing negative to say. Quite noisey to be expected though would stay again. More room for lounging after a meal. The 'lady' running Sunday evening service was abrupt to the point of being rude, slow and inattentive and complete contrast to the rest of the staff. We were given our menus and told "We only have Tomato soup" we translated that as meaning "The soup of the day is Tomato". Restricted parking. Pot luck whether you were able to get a parking place. Uncomfortable seats in bar. Faulty light bulbs in room 10 (sorry forgot to mention upon departure!). didn't dislike anything. Bathroom separate to main bedroom. No central heating on during day when there was snow on the rooftops and it was freezing outside apparently it's on a timer, however a heater was supplied on request with no trouble. Wet cups had been placed on the Tea tray and had stuck to tray causing a dry stain around cups. nothing. Their own car park is small but staff do help you squeeze in. Free parking in the nearby main square only at weekends. The bar closed too early!. family room was very tight for space with an extra bed in to make up the 4 beds. bathroom was private but not en suite. Nothing. Accomodation quite tired. Cold room (had the twin) provided heater but flex not long enough to plug anywhere. Frosted windows so nothing to see. Trying to be a hotel bistro, but actually just a local pub on a pretty scruffy street of charity shops. no on suite bathroom ,un frendly welcome left waiting in bar. Room small Corridor leading to room was very smelly.
