  The hotel was lovely and full of character. Our room was great, very clean and had a lovely view of the water. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast room had another lovely view out to sea. All well maintained. Yarmouth was a lot smaller than thought. But the hotel was great and we would definitely stay here again as long as the car came with us! :) - This hotel is fabulous. Very clean, beautiful linen on super comfy beds, and lots of lovely touches. Big China mugs and a teapot, soft dressing gowns, useful stash of "forgotten to pack" items, iron, mineral water and a little box of mints. I didn't eat breakfast, but others who did said it was very good. My evening meal was excellent although a bit expensive.

  absolutely worthy, the owner of the place is lovely, i really felt at home at oaklands... if you're planning to go to the island, this is the place to stay, best quality for money - nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors - they even ordered good weather for our stay!!! The small fridge in our room was an excellent idea.

  Everything about the stay was brilliant! The lady who greeted us on arrival (I think this is the owner) was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful - even down to the furniture in the lounge. We overslept and missed breakfast, (which we was gutted about) so I can't comment on that... My room had a great view of the harbor, the staff was very friendly and they made it easy for me to check in as soon as I arrived even though the staff wasn't on site at the time.   I cannot praise the Fernbank enough. The owner could not have been more helpful or hospitable. The hotel is beautifully decorated cared for. The public areas were very relaxing to sit in. The room I stayed in was spotless and very comfortable. Although I did not use the pool it was very inviting.
