  Like most hotels in Douglas it is now an old building, but everywhere inside the hotel was nice and clean and the staff where very helpfull. I was in a single room, but not too small and the shower was fine.   The location of the Hotel was excellent. The bedroom and bathroom were ample-sized for two people and very clean. Towels were changed as and when requested. The breakfast choice was superb, cooked to order and hot. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived late morning, check in normally 2pm, and as we had advi - Great location (within walking distance of Douglas and all its attractions). Very clean and comfortable room (albeit quite basic) with kingsize bed - unusual for a Guest House (where one would expect a double bed only). Extraordinarily friendly and extremely helpful team of staff (we left early and in place of breakfast they made us lovely sandwiches to eat at a more 'sensible' hour).   The proprietors kindly provided me with soya milk as previously requested and additionally, olive oil spread. My breakfast was cooked fresh as I arrived in the diding room. The proprietors passed on a telephone message from my wife. - We stayed in room one, which has rear facing windows, so it was quiet at night.
