  This is a superb B&B. One of the best I've ever stayed in. Pleasantly decorated and the rooms are extremely comfortable with everything you need for a good nights sleep. The couple who run the B&B are very welcoming and do everything they can to make you feel at home. The home cooked breakfast is delicious.   Ferndale Lodge had everything we needed for a good price. We stayed in their 'small double' room and it is definitely small! But it had a compact ensuite bath and wonderful views. We weren't missing anything. Breakfasts were tasty and generous - a good selection of yogurts, fruit, cereals and full English breakfast fare.   Very nice B&B just a few minutes outside the centre of Keswick. We had a nice room, on the first floor, with all comfort necessary for some beautiful days. The owner is a very friendly person, giving all the info needed to spent some days in and around Keswick. Not only regarding walks but also regarding tearoom, pubs,... The view from the rear landing stairs, if you are on one of the upper floors, of Latrigg, Skiddaw & Blencathra make a great start and finish to each day.
