The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful. The bar was cosy and the food good and big portions! The room was warm and comfortable.
I couldn't fault anything & the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food they serve was excellent and I would definitely stay there again.
The Inn is very well located to visit Wasdale and the Screes which are magnificent. The Inn is VFM and our room number 7 had a really comfy bed.

The hotel has a charm of it,s own being old.the staff are very friendly,the food and ale are at a good price but the views are priceless.
The location was superb. The staff were friendly and relaxed and let you get on with it. Brillant breakfast.

Very freindly and helpful staff, great location for Wasdale Head and walks out the door. Great pint of EPA Beer and good food in the evening at reasonably good prices. Would stay again but not in room 6 see - points.
Touring on bikes, excellant welcome, no phone signal a bonus, lovely riding roads.
The shower cubicle was a bit grubby and there was no bath.
We only had one night there.
Room was above the bar and front door of the pub so it was quite noisy although to be fair the pub opening times did say the bar was open till late so I had been warned. Floodlights which illuminated the front of the pub were shining into the bedroom and were not turned off till around 1 am.

Interior rather dark could do with brightning up a touch.
Very small bathroom for a triple room Breakfast cook didn't know how to boil an egg!.
Very cold room. Heating not timed to come on enough. Badly cooked breakfast. One tiny mirror in bathroom, none in bedroom.

No Vodaphone signal - not the hotel's fault of course!.
Noise from the bar could be heard in the bedroom (room 6) until 3.55am I complained at 3.15am and we finally got to sleep around 4am. Cooked breakfast on Tuesday morning was hardly cooked and very poor. Much better the next morning.
Cleanliness could be better but too bad.
