Arrived early at the hotel, not wanting to drag our bags around London before we could check in, asked if we could leave them there, “Not a problem Sir”, was the reply. After having a luggage free day around Kensington we got back to the hotel and checked in. Our room was a triple room on the first floor, and it was surprisingly spacious. A good sized double and a single bed with plenty of room to move around, on one side of the room there was some steps up to an area with a kettle and a table .
所有评语 » This is the second time we have used this hotel. The location is good. A five minute walk from Gloucester Road tube and about a ten minute walk from South Kensington tube. The room was clean. We had requested a twin room but they had us in a double so they gave us a triple room which meant we had plenty of extra space in the room. They clearly had recently done some repairs to the room and so the walls were a little tired but it was clean, the beds were comfortable and the room was warm, infac. Stayed at Avni Kensington Hotel, and despite some bad comments on Tripadvisor we had a wonderful time there. Staff are friendly and very helpful, hotel was spotless clean and free WiFi (which worked well during all my stay). Room was the expected size for an European hotel. Breakfast was basic, limited to some cold options and toast, but considering that is complementary with the stay is perfect. Hotel is very well located, within 5 minutes walk you are at Gloucester Rd with good restaurant. We liked the staff; they were friendly and helpful, especially a young man Raj. The first night our triple room had a showerhead that leaked so they moved us to another room and it was a nicer layout so it was a win win. The rooms are clean, although the carpeting, being white, (odd choice for a hotel) shows wear and soil. There are not very many hotels that offer triples at a reasonable price so we considered this a find. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We could leave luggage before booking in. The room was warm. The en suite, though small was very clean and it was a good shower. The bed was comfortable. Adequate storage for clothes for 4 days. Good continental breakfast, cereals, cheese, yogurts, toast, variety of juices etc. We'd like to come back next month and would be very happy to have the same room 313!. 24 hr reception so no need to carry keycard around. Breakfast times were at lie in friendly times. Self service breakfast items were well stocked, fresh and filling. Hotel was well located, close to subway, supermarket and cafes. Room was clean, comfortable, warm and had sufficient equipment levels. The price for the room for the two nights stay did not suggest the quality of the hotel/room. Quiet location, very conveniently located with regard to Tube line and restaurants, pubs etc. Gloucester Road Tube provides direct access to Heathrow on the Piccadilly Line. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom. Breakfast is very adequate. Plenty of food and a decent choice of items. I was very pleased with the Avni. I will try and stay again next time it's free and I'm in London. Reception 24 hours. Reception friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. I mean, very clean. Modern. En-suite spotless and modern. Good location for tube and local supplies. Very simple check in/check out. There was also a baggage store where we could leave our stuff so we didn't have to lug it aorund London all day. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Close proximity to Gloucester Road tube station and great pub just across the road!. It's now the second time I stayed in this hotel. Again room was very nice and clean. We were on the 4th floor. Breakfast is simple but good. The staff is friendly. The area is very nice and quiet. Very close from tube station and from the center. Simple but plentiful breakfast, didnt need anything else to eat until lunchtime. Excellent value for money, will stay here again. The hotel is very well located, nice area and only few minutes walking from the tube station. The room we had was big, clean, quiet and the bathroom very nice. The staff is very friendly. By Underground: 15min to Piccadilly Circus, 20min to St Pancras - Staff is friendly and helpful - Free WiFi - Bed and rooms are confortable. I did like the location. And the family room is as same as the photo given. very nice area to walk around even at night as it is very safe. These are small trivial annoyances, not real dislikes. The following are minor criticisms as I really enjoyed my stay: Our taxi didn't recognize the hotel's address. No hot chocolate. In the bathroom, the shower is really small and the shower wall mounted not easy. Should have shower with Hose. The breakfast room very small. The food with little variety but good quantity. Only problem was that we asked for a morning call, which never materialized. Fortunately we woke up anyway and didn't miss our train!. Room was small - but then it was a single. There was a bit of noise from the building next door (not sure if it was another hotel or a house) but nothing the hotel can do about that!. Nothing negative!. Nothing. The breakfast is quite simple but still good quality. Finally: nothing negative!. - No air conditionning: it can get hot in the summer. The T.V channels were not working . Only the news channels were available most of the tme. Nothing to say here. To our disappointment, the breakfast is too simple to make our stomach to adapt to. There is only the toast, milk, coffee, juice, and some fruit. What's more, the room is very warm but I cannot still accustomed to sleep with a blanket. windows not been able to close them as they are very old. Room was very warm but it was on the fifth floor. walls were not very thick (but we slept well) breakfast is really basic. The Breakfast is most simple, some details in the room were really cheap or unfinished. Very light covers on the bed for February would have liked a duvet or the option of one. Shower head was a problem in our room. It was busy in breakfast. The food is laid out at one end of the room and it got a but congested but apart from that it was fine. The breakfast was monotonous. Would be nice if there were some varieties. The room was uncomfortably hot and stuffy in the summer evenings due to only one very small window opening. This prevented air flow. "Continental breakfast" food was a bit basic and low quality. No Wifi signal in my room - I didn't try elsewhere in hotel. It took about 10 minutes for the hot water to come on each time I used the sink or shower. The breakfast was not to my taste but I am sure that it is adequate for most people. Also the shower was not quite hot enough. However, I would stay here again. Being a bit picky but would have liked more variety in teas ie. herbal/fruit tea option. Tv did not work, got me out of the room. My room couldn't lock from the inside but there was no possibility to change/repair. As a woman solo traveller, this made me feel a bit uneasy. Rooms are too small, considering that they're supposed to be double rooms. Lack of dinner at the hotel was awful. If I was being really picky they could have duvets in the room. The in room telephone had a terrible buzzing noise. We couldn't sleep there was a loud noise not sure where its coming from. and it lasted all night. Nothing. Very base breakfast :(. shower head did not move. It is a bit hard to find. Bathroom a bit small, but very clean.
