the friendliness of all the staff and owners towards all guests very helpful and pleasent. Close to the center, superb breakfast, good service. The room was excellent and newly renovated with an amazing shower, iron and hairdryer. very nice bathroom and good breakfast. Conveniently situated close to the city centre, friendly staff, good value for money, good breakfast.

The location was good and the breakfast coffee was tge best we had in the UK. Room was excellent, breakfast also very good. nearness to city centre. The rooms were fairly large and the entire hotel was reasonably comfortable---more like a large B and B than a business hotel. Room was clean, bathroom and dining room were well decorated. Wifi in the rooms, though it did not work. Friendly staff and good location. Typical British atmosphere.Toilet and bathroom is shared on the floor, but both are very clean are modern. The hallway and stairs are very depressing - presume that they are next to be renovated. Breakfast could be improved.parking was hard. Noisy plumbing that caused lound rumbling sound on a couple of occaisons. quite noisy in the room, only 5 TV channels,. the room was quite small, it appears that grand old rooms have been split to get extra rroms and it is a tight squeeze in places. ok for just one night where busy during the day. the rooms and corridors all require to be updated like the breakfast room, it's quite dated.the stairs would trouble an older person with luggage. Check out time of 10.30am was a bit early. The hotel was overpriced. The bed is not comfortable, as it is too soft after used for a long time. Although the room is a bit small, but it is tidy and clean, and good breakfast.Very cold during the night, bright safety light in the ceiling and noise from outside prevented sleep. Our room smelled of cigarette and air freshener. We both felt a bit sick from it and had problem sleeping.The mattress was old and damaged. The door did not lock properly. Cramped and old fashioned BandB would have been considered reasonable 20 years ago. Breakfast terrible, no effort.the staff was very rude.
