The hotel was small so we were checked in quickly and helped with the FREE car parking! The room was around the same standard as a premier inn with heated bathroom floors and a very comfy bed. The hotel itself looked like a converted house and the entrance and dining area were very homely looking. We were using this hotel as we had booked to do a cocktail making class and have tapas at a nearby bar called Bar7, this was 5 mins walking and then we got a taxi into leeds town centre approx 2-3 min.
所有评语 » A family hotel whose staff were amazingly helpful and attentive - even swapping us to a ground-floor room (due to a broken ankle) without needing to be asked and despite its being a family room rather than the twin we had booked! Delicious breakfast, with generous variety (both continental and cooked). Superb location for the universities - just across the road. Right on bus route for shopping or bus/coach/train stations. Yet a feeling of being in the country - "at home" in the country. Thank . An amazing place to stay, the staff were a great help- very friendly, polite and welcoming and the views were picturesque. The hotel itself was immaculate and the rooms were comfortable and of great size. The wireless internet and large TV were of great use. It was my first time going to Leeds, and staying here certainly made it a memorable experience and I would definitely recommend it to all!. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a group of friends staying over to run the Leeds 10k the next day. Even though check out was 11am, the manager very kindly said we could go back and shower before our return home - very accommodating ! Also the rooms were more spacious than we thought they would be. Lovely dining area and reception and both gentlemen that I spoke with during check-in / check-out were delightful. Room was spacious and clean, shower room and toilet area clean as well. A comfy bed, kettle with tea and coffee as well as a large flat screen awaited me when I arrived. I would definitely recommend. I stayed one night, was very convenient. Staff was very nice, Helpful and polite. liked the free WiFi and big TV. The room was big, bathroom was clean and shower easy to use with nice hot water. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be near the center and university. If you need to be near the University of Leeds, you couldn't possibly ask for a better location. It was also a short walk to to the city centre. The staff was very friendly and there was a kettle, tea and biscuits waiting for me in my room. Good WIFI service too. I enjoyed my stay!. Excellent location adjacent to Leeds University. Friendly and well organised reception. Good, free, parking. Room was clean and of a good size. Comfortable large sitting room near reception. Tucked away 100 metres from the main road so not too noisy. Excellent value. I don't normally agree with the idea of Review sites. However, the young staff at Kingston were worthy of praise. I stayed only 1 night at an incredibly good rate. There was an almost touching naivety about their service and they were very friendly and helpful. Visiting my daughter at Leeds Uni this was the perfect location. Free Wifi and Parking were really useful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Large room with everything you need. I travelled on to York where similar room was twice the price so good value. There was a warm welcome from the staff and their customer focus throughout our stay was excellent. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. There was an ezxcellent choise at breakfast and the 'full english' was particularly well cooked and ample. Though near the city centre, the Kingston Hotel is quiet and charming. The bedrooms on the lower ground floor proved nice and cool in the recent heatwave. It is perfectly placed for visiting one's children at the university opposite. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is clean and well managed. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast was ample and good, whether full English or continental. It is extremely convenient to the University of Leeds. A welcoming, low cost hotel to stay while on a city visit. Adjacent to the University and a 10 minute walk away from the start of the city centre shops. Helpful staff. Relaxing, traditionally furnished lounge. This is a great little hotel if your on a budget and don't expect too much, I booked a single and was put in a double so I had plenty of room, it's clean and friendly and close enough to the city centre. Location!Location!Location!The hotel is situated right opposite Leeds University, so it is extremely convenient for everyone visiting the university.The staff is extremely friendly. Would recommend it!. I have stayed here before when visiting daughter at university, it's ideal for campus and halls of residence, plenty of parking space, friendly staff and great full English breakfast !. Brilliant for price , young guy on reception couldn't have been nicer, carried our bags to room helped with all our directions when we didn't know where we were going! He is a gem!. What was very impressive about the Kingston was that it felt like a luxury hotel but was priced like a budget one. Also, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Perfect location for a gig at Leeds University. Great room and hospitality for £50 - much better than the more Expensive Travel Lodge. It is very close to University of Leeds, which is convenient for me. The facilities are home-like and the bed is big as a single room. First floor double room was lovely. The lighting in our room (6) was a little low and as there was only 1 small window that looked out onto a walled area there was no natural light. this couls have been improved with better lightshades and maybe some lamps. The hotel was a bit dated and the pillows were very flat ! You get what you pay for at the end of the day. Thin walls so we could hear other people in other rooms. Ideally located but not so easy to find. I recommend calling ahead for specific directions. couldn't find my way into the road, the hotel signage was difficult to see at night, I drove and passed a total of 4 times before I realized was a small entrance into a very small road on the left and the hotel a few yards further down.Parking only for a few cars. There were only minor inconveniences. The room had an open closet with shelves and hangers but no actual drawers in the room. Some might call the room furnishings sparse. My room was on the third floor and there was no lift/elevator. (I wasn't bothered by this but others might be!). Lots of stairs so not good for people with disabilities. Breakfast (albeit only £5) was a bit cold. Some maintenance required. No plug in the sink, bits missing from the shower and shower tray looking a bit old although it all worked fine. Some stains on the carpet and creaking floorboards above did wake me when my neighbours got up. We stayed just one night before a graduation ceremony - if we'd known how good the hotel was we would probably have stayed for 2/.3 nights. I didn't mind, but I noticed that with 4 steps up to the front-door it would not be convenient for wheel-chair users. My advice is make sure you know exactly where it is, as neither the hotel sign nor Kingston Terrace are very conspicuous from the main road. I have no complaints. The hotel has very few parking spaces and it's pot luck whether you get a space or not. The room was noisy - people in the upstairs bedroom seemed to be walking around all night! the room was not very quiet so unfortunately slept badly. Shower a little underpowered but I certainly won't let that put me off booking again - its an extremely good hotel for this price range. Loft room a bit cold at night. Some mould in the shower could do with some treatment as it gives a strong mould smell when wet. Unfortunately wi-fi didn't work in our room. No cooked breakfast was available. Difficult to find, especially when relying on sat-nav. Pillows were too flat and disturbed by noise from extrator fans in other rooms. Hotel a little hard to find! secluded,beautiful corner position only better signage would mean more enjoyment of hotel. Bathroom, maybe small basket of luxury wash goodies rather than 2 dispensers!ok for one nights stay!! :-D. Car parking was a bit nuts, but the guy sorted us out pretty quickly and he did say ther were particularly busy. The wifi signal is not very strong=-=. Electrics were a bit substandard: Top floor room lacked a bedside light. In both rooms it was difficult to boil the kettle safely as the sockets are not very conveniently placed. The clock bells across the street were a bit loud with the windows open. Room was slightly dated but, for the amount we paid, we can have no complaints. a little bit dark. It IS surprisingly difficult to find!. Window was cracked and there was a v bright 'exit' light in the room. I have no bad reports. The shower bracket was broken and unstable, and the water pressure was a little weak. Nothing not to like. the rooms bore only slight resemblance to what is on web site. was disappointed with quality of room. and breakfast was tepid with no sausage or bacon. The shower was very weak. Nothing, all excellent. The only room for improvement is the soundproofing of the building. The floors are wooden and every time someone from the upper floor walked I heard their steps as if they were close to my ear... Not enough pillows in the room or sockets for phone chargers!. Nothing. Cost could be a bit lower.
