  We arrived with our son who is wheelchair bound , and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. She even sent his breakfast up to him on a tray!!! FANTASTIC....The building couldnt have been more central!! All in all, a fantastic budget place to stay in Edinburgh.   The staff was excellent especially Claudia-who was exceedingly helpful in finding a tour for us to the Highlands and Loch Ness last minute. The tour left very early and she arranged for an early breakfast even though they weren't open for breakfast yet.   We really enjoyed our stay in St Bernard's House and would totally recommended it. The room was really lovely, all the facilities included, the staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and more than enough in quantity (even though I was worrying because of other reviews I had previously red). Really good deal, particularly considerin - St. Bernard's House is situated in a lovely part of Edinburgh, surrounded by beautiful Georgian architecture, with plenty of little shops, pubs & places to eat etc. round the corner. We were more than happy with our stay and the couple who run the guest house were friendly and very helpful. We hope to return at some point and discover more about the local area and Edinburgh itself.
