  Heather was extremely nice and welcoming during our stay and we had a wonderful time at The Hedges. Breakfast is excellent and more than readies you for a full day of walking around the city.   David and Lydie were extremely friendly hosts and were very helpful in telling us how to get around, nothing was too much for them to help with. The rooms were very well designed, spotless and the bed was very comfy, not to mention the view we had (room 8) was spectacular over Edinburgh and the castle! Everything about this hotel was perfect, we will definitely - It's a really lovely decorated house. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really tasty with good choice of food (glutenfree, vegeterian, vegan was no problem). The area was extremely quiet during night time. The house is in walking distance to the castle and the royal mile. There are several good restaurants in walking distance (5-10 minutes).
