The location was great, just a stones throw from shops, theatre/bars/restaurants, Princes Street and other attractions. The staff very helpful (especially the doorman-William), the rooms were very well equiped, clean and tidy and escaped out onto a rooftop expance that gave great views out over Edinburgh. The quality of food was good, I would definately stay there again. Everything. We were given a rooftop garden room which affords great views over Calton Hill and towards the sea. The beds are very luxurious. The hotel is near all the main shopping and attractions. The honesty bar is great and reflects well on the hotel. Breakfast was right out of the top drawer. 1st class break.
所有评语 » Perfect location, roof top terrace was wonderful, especially for smokers in the new non smoking environment. We sat out early morning in crisp winter sunshine, just lovely. Staff were wonderful and we felt very at home. The bed was to die for - I'm surprised we left the hotel at all!!. Friendly staff. Bags taken to the room and guide to show us to the room. Room was beautiful - perfect for the stay. Nightly bottle of water, turn down service - impeccable. The room was very clean, and the in room CD player was an excellent touch!. The efficiency and friendliness of the staff, first class like the hotel. The location is ideal if you plan to do a spot of sight seeing in Edinburgh with the added bonus of coming back to a 5 star hotel. The staff were veryhelpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and the design, visual aspect of the hotel was fabulous. it was also veryhelpful. the breakfast was excelent for value and choice.Everthing was great - the attention to detail, the staff, the breakfast, the honesty bar and especially the bed - it was so so comfy. Perfectly situated in the city. Would definately stay again. Every aspect of the hotel was excellent but we were most impressed with the Staff. But that could have been rectified if required and is only a very small niggle. We felt that the movies were over priced at more than £10.00 per film. Ditto with the mini-bar, though we enjoyed the £5.00 jelly beans! :). Nothing I didn'tlike, but felt that our price which was a special deal made it very worthwhile and value for money, however I wouldnot have said the same if we paid full price. The TV could have been more modern - i.e. an LCD with more freeview channels.being really picky, but you could hear minor noise of nearby nightclub which may annoy some people(we didnt mind). The only thing that bothered us a little was the enclosed air system. The breakfast was not well organised at all and was not up to 5* standard but overall great visit to get away for a night. Ease of dropping off/picking up baggage at the curb (busy street). Nope. Perfect. no restaurant. The heating was a bit noisy. only let down was one of the staff members present at breakfast time. middle aged lady. very rude and unfriendly in manner.Bed to soft, Very squeeky bed and floor. N parking and could not drop off bags easily as taxi rank is thonly place to drop off and they move you on.
