the swans and geese outside in the little lake. the beautiful decor and warm friendly, cozy and luxurious feel to the place. also it has a regular bus service right at the entrance that takes you to the airport. great place!! if you're looking for somewhere near gatwick.. you wont get any better than the copthorne.. serriously :). I stay regularly at this hotel, if arriving late in the UK and leaving early from Gatwick airport, instead of going to my London flat - the hotel is probably one of the nicest hotels in the area around Gatwick, although big it preserves the character of an English countryside hotel.
所有评语 » lovely hotel, just on the outskirts of gatwick. perfect little luxury just before you fly and you forget just how close you are to gatwick! We were also fortunate enough that there was good weather and the hotel had a bbq going on in the grounds which was at a resonable price. I liked the atmosphere, the garden views (even in winter), the choice of restaurants and the peacefulness of the library-much better than a hotel "lobby".The staff were excellent - very helpful and friendly. The food was fine and the room was very clean and comfortable. I would certainly stay there again. It was our wedding night, and we were made to feel welcome when we arrived and thanked when we left. We were also hoped to be seen soon.Spacious room and nice and warm! Very welcoming, cosy and comfortable after a 12 hour flight into Gatwick. Food excellent. The whole expereince, Room service is a must. very friendly and helpfull staff great hotel will use again.Excellent service and efficient staff. Rooms more than adequate for a pre-holiday/flight hotel. The setting was exactly as described.....very easy to get to Gatwick. The weekend was perfect.It is a lovely hotel but it does seem as though it has not been decorated since the eighties. staying there sometimes - for an airport location, particularly "countryside" and nice,...stay there regularly when in Gatwick - although quite big nice countryside hotel feeling. Undoubtedly the best settig one could want for the start of a holiday. we used your pool and sauna and steam room and we had a meal. Great place, so much better than the normal Airport hotel.The atmosphere and environment were fantastic. Beautiful setting and nice atmosphere. very comfortable and clean. The ambience of the hotel. We used the hotel for park and fly, so needed somewhere to stay overnight, excellent parking facilities and close to airport, airport transfers never late.. Good hotel. We stayed one night after late arrival at Gatwick. Easy to find, quiet, rooms a bit warm. Service professional. Good breakfast.Rooms were lovely, bathrooms good. General facilities good. Staff were very helpful when needed and not intrusive. Easy accomodatios to airport/victoria station and knowledge of staffrelative to places of interest. Facilities and comfort and good parking arrangements. excellent hotel with very big room and good food. Enjoyed the evening meal in the Brasserie. People were very friendly and attentive.quiet and comfortable. Peace and quiet. Excellent food. The Atmosphere. The room was fab. Big comfy four poster for us and a sofa bed for the kids, already made up. In-room fridge and kettle. Great bathroom with jetted tub, nice shower, etc. Service was quick and efficient, and friendly. It's location was excellently close to, yet far enoiugh away from, the airport itself. Airport hotels can be over busy, tacky and souless. But this was fantastic - you could book this for a holiday!.the rooms were quaint, virtually soundproof, comfortable, quiet and beds afforded a great nite sleep. only stopped at the hotel overnight for early morning flight. very quiet room. Slept well.I liked the decor and old buildings instead of the usual plastic palace. been there a number of times, and like the resturant a lot :). Jacuzzi bath and grounds. Very quiet and relaxing. Reception staff very helpful with baggage and notified us of change of car parking ticket when we moved our car. Also enjoyed a lovely meal at the restaurant. Location, ease of parking in hotel carpark which was really well organised. Also several food options at the hotel, and large comforatble room.Proximity to the airport, peaceful surroundings, access to on site fitness centre,. value for money is only good if breakfast is included as standard. Very efficient and rooms were spacious and well equipped. the gardens and good transport links to the airport. Excellent food, friendly and efficient staff. A fantastic hotel, with great facilities. I would have liked the shower to have been a bit more powerful. Car Parking was manic - hotel was very busy but car park was not staffed properly at that time. Although hotel staff tried to assist, it needed a full time operative on the long term car parking service.The hotel and shutle service was perfect. Offer the Car Park deal with the Club Rooms. Its was within budget for the room but combine the two and perfection!. I found everything to be very acceptable. The wait to get food in the pub lounge. The bartender was overwhelmedwith the number of people he was trying to serve alone. Their system toget your food to you was non-existant and chaotic.We didn't eat in the hotel restaurants because they seemed pricey. But the porter gave us a map to get to the nearest pub (10 min walk in the village), which was excellent. Nothing - fpr our purposes, it was perfect.During our stay we had to use the Pub and found that the food was of poor quality, service very poor and terribly overpriced but we will use the hotel again but go further afield for or food. Yours John Sellar. Kettle in room did not work. No clear bad points. Staff in the "Pub" part were inexperienced and not very helpful. room were comfortable but not as grand as I had expected!. The drink prices were over the top in the bar and service took a long time to serve the drinks.
