The Windmill Hotel offers 4-star accommodation 2 miles west of Blackburn town centre. It features free Wi-Fi and free parking on site, and has easy access to Junction 31 of the M6 motorway. Each room has a TV with satellite channels for guests to enjoy, and facilities for making tea and coffee. Rooms are also air conditioned, and have a work desk and en suite bathroom with a hairdryer. The Windmill’s restaurant and bar are open throughout the day, and a children’s menu is available. A full English breakfast is also served each morning. There is also a “Kidscape” area, with 5 computers and a free-to-use movie section showing 3D movies twice a day.

The hotel was being taken over by new management but they did their best to accomodate us. They allowed us to check in early as we had a wedding to get to. The hotel was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Breakfast the next day was just what we needed. Would definitely book again if was in the area. Friendly staff; proximity to Blackburn and Preston; on a main bus route to both towns; nice pub with good food. Purpose of my visit was to visit with family and friends in the area. I would not recommend Blackburn as a place for a holiday.
