The way the staff responds to the needs of their guests. They are sooo friendly and eager to find the answers to any questions a guest may have even if it may be unusual. American guests may not understand what all the words on the menu may mean, and the waiter/waitress is so eager to explain. Thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness and kind assistance. We will defiitely come again if we come back to Blackburn.
所有评语 » Just about everything. Our room was nicely furnished with comfortable bed and interesting photographs and prints. Staff were very friendly. Located in a rural / commuter village with countryside around, and yet minutes to Blackburn or Preston and the M6. It is the village my grandfather was brought up in too which is a plus for me. The country feel, the facilities provided in the rooms, the staff were friendly, the bed was comfy, the mini complimentary bottles, the tea and coffee and the daily room clean and replacement of tea and coffee, the village, the hills, the countryside, the church and memorial, the breakfasts wow; to name a few!. The food was excellent and good value for money. All the staff were very helpful. The restaurant was nicely decorated, with comfortable table and chairs. We sat by the fire all night as we watched the snow come down. The breakfast the next morning was also very good. the staff were brilliant very polite and helpful,the food was excellent and great value for money,and the building was nice and clean,can,not fault anything about our stay we will be back again very soon. The food was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere is the bar area and restaurant was very relaxed and freindly. The staff were all very attentive and made our evening with friends a pleasure. The food was delicious. Breakfast was ok, didn't try any other meals. Although I believe the food is very good. the village the people the pub the food when it arrived was excellent. The service during dinner on the first nights stay was incredibly slow - two hours was too long to be sat down to eat dinner especially with a child. The food was delicious but the waitress/waiter service was too slow. We did tell the staff the the time. Everything was great!. n/a. A few things in the room needed attention but nothing critcal. We always stay here and have never found anything to dislike. I have never found anything to dislike. Nothing, everything was good to excellent!. Room a bit cramped but there is a choice and paying a bit more might be worthwhile. Breakfast was served very slowly, limited options for vegetarians. Very poor mobile reception. Having to walk across an icy car park to get to The Courtyard - it was very cold on the night of my stay. Church bells at 6 am. Nothing. Made a booking for dinner as soon as we arrived, staff on reception said they would book but didnt do it, we then had to wait till late for a table to become available. Double room booked but only one towel and dressing gown supplied, we asked at least twice for another towel but didnt get one till next day when we asked the maid. Staff very nice but seem untrained for such a busy restaurant ie dont know their wines, brought wrong wine and seemed surprised when this was pointed out. Noisy plumbing Small courtyard room Having to out in the wet to get to main hotel!. A little tired, needs some attention to detail (paintwork etc). Photos of rooms were misleading, I paid for delux room but there wasnt anything delux about it. Very standard. !! Food was ok but a little tasteless.. There were 3 couples staying in our party and the quality of the bedrooms varied quite a lot. The ones upstairs seemed much nicer than the ground floor. Your web site shows 5* it was no more than 3*.we were extremely disappointed. It also said home made biscuits and fresh milk, there was one small mince pie( in a twin room) and long life milk. Room over priced at £115 should be £50/60 per night. rooms need revamping and grime around handles on bath and window frames. Also it was busy at night and we waited 2 hours for our main course.
