  We stayed for 3nights and were upgraded to a pool access room. Unprompted, the hotel presented me with a birthday cake-a lovely surprise, thank you.   Spent five days here. Requested ground floor room which they provided. Large room with good size bathroom and small garden out back. Bed was hard. They put a comforter over the mattress which made a bit of difference. Pool is great. This property is split into three areas. We were in the tower part with the big pool away from the beach. Khao Lak is a great place to visit, but you do require transport such as a scooter if you wish to get around. Taxi are on,ly 150b to the main area of town but may be more at night. If you wish to chill by the pool or beach and eat in the restaurants in the surrounding area which there is a lot to choose from transport is not a problem.
