Myself and my partner travelled Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam for our honeymoon. We stayed in a variety of double rooms ranging from £10 to £55 per night. We found booking hotels hard for our trip on reviews people are from a variety of countries, in a variety of age group and ultimately want different things from their stay. We are couple in our early 30s who can pretty much sleep anywhere. We wanted from this hotel good safe location to explore the city and enjoy the night life. The Tara Pal.
所有评语 » 1. Excellent location, about 1km from the Royal palace, Wat Po and the main tourist areas. It's also a 10-minute walk from Khao San Road, the backpackers' mecca but - and this is a big bonus - Tara Place has none of the all-night party noise. It's quiet, peaceful & secluded down a small back street off a main road. 2. Staff are almost unbelievably efficient, helpful & professional, with a very good attitude - so the owners/management are obviously paying attention to the ess. Amazing staff and services. Tuk Tuk or car to the grand palace and wat pho are several times a day, free of charge for guests. Always welcome with a smile and helpful assistance. We were allowed to check in 4 hours early without hesitation. We stayed there for one night before heading on a 20 day trip throughout Thailand and Cambodia, and when we had a 9 hour layover in bangkok before our trip back to the states, we thought we'd store our luggage at Tara's place (having seen it advertised at 10. Tara Place was a great place to stay. It was about 5 mins walk from the main backpacker road (khao Sok) in bangkok which means you are close enough but not noisy at night. The staff are so lovely and helpful, if you need help with anything like trips, getting a taxi (without getting ripped off) and they provide a tuk tuk free to the grand palace. They have complementary tea and cakes in the reception area and free internet + wifi. The rooms are modern and clean with tv and a few english movie c. The staff here are so helpful and friendly, especially Tao and his sister. It was our first stop in Thailand and they helped us with everything from where to eat, booking bus tickets, booking our next accommodation, made phone calls for us, Tao even drove us to the bus station and ensured we got the most comfortable bus and paid the right price. The hotel itself was exactly what we needed. Clean, quiet, comfortable, air con, great shower...they upgraded us so we had 2 bedrooms. It was a very we. Clean room and bathroom (nice glass shower!), good location for us as a going couple near Khao San Road. Free tuk tuk service every 2 hours from the hotel (limited places though so we didn't use) to Grand Palace in the morning and Khao San rd in PM. Take a room in the back of the hotel if you can, less noisy. We had booked a twin room by mistake, even if they didn't have a double room available they accommodated us by sticking the two beds together. Very nice and helpful staff who speak decen. Very nice hotel on (off) the typical Bangkok str. Nice lobby with free tea and a cake. Absolutely lovely, the most helpful staff I have ever met!! They even help you to catch taxi on the street! Scheduled free ride by tuc tuc to Grand Palace and Khaosan Rd.! Nice rooms with AC and free safety box... and bathrooms with hair drier... Hotel doesn`t have breakfast room but few steeps away is small, lovely restaurant providing breakfast for hotel guests with possibility of 10 choices. (Nice breakfa. The hotel was super close to Khao Sarn Road, the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Po. Also quite close to Chinatown and a 60thb cab ride to the Hualamphong Train Station. The staff was friendly, cheerful and helpful. There are plenty of eating, drinking and nightlife options once you walk to Khao Sarn (about 10 minutes) and they have a free Tuktuk drop off to some of the more popular sites six times a day. My room was clean, comfortable and of reasonably good size. The room also had a safe for stori. So clean, spotless! Tres tres propre! new hotel since October 2012. Nouvel hotel depuis Octobre 2012. Staff is amazing apple, O, Cha , Jeng and every single staff is great! Lift, hot water, thick curtain so it s dark in the room, free water everyday , fridge, mini bar, a cafe next door, free wi fi, safe on the room, hair dryer , shampoo, shower gel, towels, air con, free tuk tuk 4 times per day at a designated time, helpful and welcoming staff. Great location great staff and spotless. Tara place is a great place to stay, not far away from the busy kao san road, was quiet during night. The staff was really helpful with everything, english wasnt problem at all, they arranged taxi and answered every question we had. The place was nice,clean and the wifi was working very good. there is free coffee/tea facilities at the reception and some little cakes too. the breakfast was at the next door coffee/restaurant, their cooking was affordable and really good. The hotel is a new hotel and very smart and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided us with a map on our first day, which proved to be invaluable. We thought the free tuk tuk to the temples and Khao San Road was a nice touch. The Hotel is well situated within walking distance of Khao San Road without being in the thick of it, and close to the the boat pier, for easy access to the Chao Phraya River. Staff was incredibly firndly and helpful and I didnt say anythink to her I fell in love with one of the girl at the reception!!! Her smile was the best good morning you can get! Free tuk-tuk to the grand palace and wat po from the hotel. I needed also to store my baggage after I checked out and it was free as well. Recommended if you want to be close to the temples. Otherwise choose one closer to the city. Great Hotel!!! The best staff ever and the facilities are really good. Great location near the Khao San Road and the center but also in a pretty quiet place. The nice lady in the reception helped us a lot with places to go and good tips. The hotel have a good lobby with 2 computers and free water,tea,coffee and local sweets. Also can leave your luggage in the store room if you need for 10 BHT a day. Very close to kaosan road, and the hotel provides shuttle bus to grand palace at 8am, 10am and 12pm. But it was so difficult for us to take a taxi for going back to hotel by meter...and the hotel is far from the shopping area, and tutus is soooo expensive in Bangkok, and during the high time, not possible to take a taxi... The room is big and very clean, nice and helpful staffs. A lovely hotel - clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a tour office conveniently located next to the hotel and the agent is wonderful. Many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, including a Seven Eleven. If I return to Bangkok, I will not hesitate to stay here again. We have to agree that the staff is exceptional, kind and helpful. Hotel is very comfortable, short walk to Khao San Road, about 20min by taxi in the traffic to Sky train, strong fast and stable wifi even on the 5th floor (there is a lift ;), fridge, minibar, tioletries, a/C.. And they offer a free tuk tuk service to the grand palace. Unfortunately we got scammed on our first day in Bangkok by a travel company and the staff where extremely kind and helpful and took all the time to help us sort it out. The double room is spacious and bed very comfortable. En-suite was ideal, good shower after a day in the heat. Rooms were cleaned every day. The staff on reception were always courteous, happy and smiling. They make your stay a great experience with their helpfulness. Definitely would stay there again. The woman who helped fixed my computer was so kind, friendly and helpful and deserves a special mention. Made me feel right at home, with her genuine helpfulness. I could see her displaying these qualities to other guests too, as well as the very good cleaning staff, which was inspiring!. We had a great stay at Tara Place. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, advising the best places to go and means of transport. We would return. Location is convenient within walking distance to Khaosan road, plus there is a complimentary tuk-tuk. Added touches such as complementary nuts,snacks and coffee in the foyer. Hotel offered free Tuk-Tuk Service to the Grande Palace and other places. Also advised of the potential "scam" drivers. They did not charge a down payment or booking fee at time of booking on line. The staff are SO friendly and being newly established, the facilities are clean. The location is a short walk from busy and touristy Kaosan rd, which makes it convenient yet reasonably quieter. The hotel is located near Khaosan road and many other attractions, however a little bit far from city center. One of the securities was really nice, he helped us call a taxi and asked the driver to turn on the meter :). As our trip was during water festival the staff gave my boyfriend a water gun on loan for the duration of our stay. This hotel located near Khaosan rd. 7 -10 min walk to get Khaosan rd. Hotel staffs are very kind, helpful and willing to help guests. You can have coffee, thee, cake etc. at lounge. wifi works good. Bankok is not very wonderful city for relaxing but this hotel is amazing.Staff is very nice and one of them is pretty.I forgot her name and hopefully would see her again when i back one day. Location near Khao Shan RD, not far away from Grand Palace, free Tuktuk pick up to these two places, free coffee, tea and cake are provided in lobby, everything is good also the kindly stuff!. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room but available in reception all day along with complimentary snacks. Almost nothing, except: 1. No taxi driver in Bangkok seems to know where it is; so make sure you have the hotel's phone number with you so the driver can call them for directions. 2. The airport bus doesn't stop at this location, so you have to walk a hundred metres or so to catch it. As this bus is by far the most efficient & economical way of getting to the airport, this might be a minor inconvenience if you don't travel light. No breakfast, but loads of options nearby, one place right next door. Walls are thin, our room was far in the back and on the last floor so less noisy but I can imagine some other rooms being less insonorised. Absolutely no problem sleeping though. There was absolutely nothing to didn`t like about this hotel!. This isn't a huge negative but the hotel is away from both bts and mrt lines and is really hard to get to during the day, when bkk traffic is nasty. There is a workaround, you can take the water taxi around the Old Bangkok island. Nothing everything was perfect! Thank you!. the breakfast could have more choices, but anyway we were happy as it was nice and clean there. There was nothing we didn't like, and we wished we could have stayed longer. The don't have many rooms so you need to order a room as soon as possible. Far from shopping area. You have to pay deposit when check-in, 10usd per person, but get it back later that we couldnt stay longer.. We don't have a bad word to say. Our stay was lovely. There was nothing not to like. Great hotel. Great staff. Being right opposite the laundry room was a bit weird (and noisy in the morning). The security guards made noise in the mornings around 7.00/8.00am, which woke us. The air conditioning unit took a while to cool down the room after returning from the days events. Nothing. Average slow internet connection... but by Thailand measures it is not so bad off course. :). None by far :). Far away from the city centre and shopping mall, if you think about to shopping in Thailand, you better get another choice. Doesnt look like much around, and no view from hotel, but free hotel tuktuk will take you to old city in the am and pm, and some charming little eateries across the road down the side streets. See item on ferries - dont waste time and money on the terrible motorised gondolas that touts will try to sell you at 20 times the ferry price. nothing. The travel agent that we were recommended to by Tara place claimed the trim to our ext destination was fully booked. We walked 30 seconds down the street to the next travel agent only to find that this was not the case and the train wasn't fully booked. The hotel's tuk-tuk driver literally handed us over to a cheat near Grand Palace who told us the palace is closed and would we like to go to shopping instead, on our first day there. Not much. 1. No taxi driver in Bangkok seems to know where it is so make sure you have the hotel's phone number do the driver can get directions. 2. The airport bus doesn't stop there; you need to walk 100metres to catch it. there is no metro, and hard to call a taxi in Bangkok, which causes problem to go to the downtown. The facilities look new, but it could be maintained a little better. The layout of the space had some minor annoyances like the bathroom door and the shower door constantly being in the way of one another. If you don't want to be around many tourists or near the backpacker hub of Bangkok then it may not be the ideal city location for you. Nothing at all. Not very easy to find by taxi drivers, although it is a new hotel. Nothing bad. Maybe only that the bathroom could have more accessories. The way the water collected and overlapped in shower. Everything else was great. Had to log into wifi Everytime you re-enter the building, ensure you keep the login details they give you at check in. In room 412 the shower door does not close properly. Nothing.
