  The staff were immediately welcoming when I dropped off my bag on my way to a meeting on arrival in Basel. The room had windows to open at night (many hotels have sealed windows). The location was perfect thanks to the map on your booking website. The breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly. I enjoyed my stay very much.

  My husband and I stayed only one night. The staff spoke English to us, which we appreciated. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We were given excellent instructions to use the tram (our first time on a tram) to get to the old town shopping area. We may not be in Basel again, but do not hesitate to recommend the ibis to fellow - Quiet hotel, really helpful reception staff. Excellent location for transport links. Breakfast is really good and worth paying extra for. Room was spotlessly clean. This hotel is superb value for money, especially given that Switzerland is generally very expensive.
