  I like having a "place of my own," where I felt like I was coming home in the evening and not to a hotel. Having a little kitchen, immediately makes you more "local" as you shop for groceries.   Upon complaining, we were immediately shifted to another bigger and better configured apartment, affording more privacy (which fortunately was available). The apartment building is well located, and the staff we spoke to, were very friendly and accommodating. We shall definitely stay there the next time.
