While the street is very quiet (and safe), the building is soundproof. This apartment/hotel is in a historical building that has been recently rehabilitated with great care by the owner and his wife, who is an interior designer.

  We had a wonderful time. They were so helpful with telling us about the area and what to do. One evening we went to see the fishermen bringing in their catch and watching the auctioner bargain the prices.

Newspapers are available in the reception area and books in the lounge, and drinks are available in the mini bar of the room free of charge. We had dinner one night at the hotel and enjoyed it greatly. We overheard quite a few clients mentioning that they had been there before and were planning to return.

  Lois is a tiny hotel at the other end of a rather busy pedestrian street with restaurants and bars. The rooms were very clean with white minimalistic decor. We had a small room, but the smart layout made it feel more spacious. The staff seemed to do pretty long shifts, but were super nice all the time and made us feel like home. The location is perfect placed between the port and the beach, and in the middle where the pubs, restaurants and cafes are located. It was a little too quiet while I was there since I was the only person having breakfast, but this will not be a problem for most. In short, I opted for this over the 4-star options a 20-minute walk away.
