Staff was really helpful and friendly. There's two different guest houses in nearby buildings, one is rather communal backpacker style and the other is quieter. I was in the former (without knowing what I was getting into), and they were easy going about moving me into the latter. Good kitchen set up. The backpacker place was actually pretty nice for that sort of thing, just not what I was looking for (I'm a bit older than that now, and like my peace and quiet!).

Excellent location! Quiet, clean, safe and a bargain for the area! The bathroom is very small, but was fine for us. Two doors down from the best and cheapest restaurant in Barcelona!!
