We arrived early for check in & asked if we could store our luggage. We were allowed to check in early because the room was ready. It was much appreciated. The staff were very friendly & helpful & asked about our plans during our stay. They provided maps & helpful advice. The hotel is very close to the tourist attractions & CBD. We would definitely go back there. nice clean room, staff were friendly & so was room service, loved stayingat abel tasman hotel will definately stay their when I visit again & alsi cheap aswell, needed A microwave in room to heat up my babys food but other then that everything was good!! thank you abel tasman for having us=].
所有评语 » Abel Tasman is a well located hotel for our purpose. It met all the needs for our visit. The food presented to us, and the service, was especially good. Both my daughter and partner were impressed with the selection, presentation and quantity. The room was adequate for our needs. Great Front Desk staff .... & all we spoke with very helpful - courteous (well trained). Now somewhat faded/dated ... but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Location very good - wrong end of city perhaps (away from Lampton) ... but advantages in that also. Very clean rooms and well presented bedding. Staff were excellent and well trained. It was good value for money The use of historical pictures was very interesting. Provision of an earthquake was unusual but at no time did I feel worried about the hotels structure. liked the location and the price was pretty good for a well located property. Staff were very good too, there were noisy people in the room beside us and the staff sorted it out so my daughter could get to sleep, thank you!. My friends & I had a great time here... The staff were perfect.. nothing was ever a problem and you were able to have a laugh with them...The location was very convenient for a few days shopping in a wonderful city :). Good location. Quiet enough during the week (I stayed 3 nights Tues-Thurs). My room was more like a mountain cabin (with a few empty cupboards around the sink) than a modern hotel room, but I didn't mind that at all. I loved the location being so close to the city, the rooms were well set out, it was great with the restaurant downstairs, the décor was great and the food exceptional and the staff were friendly. Cleanliness and comfortable room, walking distance to Taranaki Street where our function was held in the weekend. Very helpful staff in all areas. Reasonable rates offered. Room was very clean, warm and comfortable. Good set-up, with a well- equipped kitchenette. Very comfortable bed. Excellent location - close to all highlights of the city. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. We also requested an additional room and they gave to us at the same price as our other booked room. (A huge saving). Everything was good about this place, location, staff friendliness, accommodation and atmosphere. Definitely would stay here again next time I am in Wellington. The location was good, very central and easy walking distance to anywhere. Having parking was a bonus too. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. My partner and I enjoyed our stay , we were on the top floor with some good views around, friendly , quiet place, very clean and tidy. Easy walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, Te Papa, waterfront, Wellington Gallery If we had a problem it was quickly fixed. Place was close to all downtown facilities. Good parking facilities close by. Rooms clean and plenty of linens. Staff acommodating. Location - price - clean & tidy . A good size shower with strong water pressure. Some TV channels were a bit muddled up. Good location. Staff, mainly Indian, very polite. Microwave and cutlery and plates in room very handy. Excellent value for money and central location. Spacious, comfortable room. It was central, clean and overall very pleasant. I would certainly go back. It was a shame that there was not a cheaper breakfast menu on offer at the bistro. However, there are many other cafes around the area. The only fault I would mention is the age of the single bed mattresses. The mattress I had was well worn in the springs on one side and through the night it felt like I was going to slide out of bed. Otherwise a good stay. NO FREE NET/WI FI ......... think this essential for any/every hotel now. Bed/s (mattress) def. need updating ..... with 4 (high) pillows -- should be "choice" in room. Everything worked as expected but it is getting a bit aged in parts. The only issue I had was with the occasional noise coming from the street as the party people went home. But that was minor and not something within the control of the hotel. Walls seemed to be quite thin, could hear the people in the next room talking & a baby crying when walking down the corridor....pleased we didn't sleep that side of the corridor!. The windows are quite leaky - which was fine for me in March, but in Winter you would really need the bar heater in the room I would think!. The guest information said there was an arthquake emergency kit in the wardrobe but I couldn't see one. Very noisy at night from drunks and traffic. We were in rooms that face Willis St. No hooks in bathroom to place bathrobes, toilet bag etc. A small cupboard to put toiletries in would be good. The restaurant was closed on a Sunday!. The loud music coming from the bars/cafes in Dixon St facing my room. The cars hooning up and down the road. Trying to sleep was impossible and made for a long night. Next morning I made myself comfortable in the lounge arm chairs in restaurant, and not once was I asked if I required refreshments, so not good service, but on the other hand good because I didnt spend any money for the sake of buying something and read the local papers uninterrupted. Nothing, all good. The rooms were in need of a facelift, our carpet had marks, the TV was dreadful, must have been 20 years old, it would be so easy to instal flat screen ones. Also heating was by way of free-standing electric heaters, not environmentally friendly. The hotel should invest in double glazing, our room was on the Willis st side and very noisy, luckily we were staying on a Friday and Saturday night as it could have been much worse. This is not a place you would want go on a Friday night or Saturday night unless situated in the back section off the main street. Parting and loud noise continued to 3:30 in the morning. fan in bathroom was noisey. no designated smoking area of convenience to upper floor guests I thought it may not be good to have smokers standing outside the main entrance ... carprks in the private bay were too small. Glazing can mean a slightly cool room. Can be noisy if in a room by the road. A fuse blew when the TV, kettle and heater were on simultaneously but staff fixed this very quickly. One of the bedside lights didn`t work. No shower hat supplied. The sound of the people in the next room coughing all night ( walls were thin ). the room (bedding, bathroom etc) was very clean but the curtains and carpets could do with one. I could not work out how to lock the door to the room. Nothing to comment on in this section. Wifi could be free but is very cheap and considering what I paid was not much of an issue. The restaurant/bar wasn't open. The walls are very thin and the hall light comrs in under the door. Nothing. Noisy fan in Bathroom Noise from a large group of teenages opposite. my kumara fries in the bar were a little undercooked. No major dislikes. The pillows were very high need to be flatter or could've been some flatter ones available. I found hair (not my own) under sheet on top of matress protector when making the bed. Bathroom fan needed to be cleaned. Mould in shower. Room a little tired. Very noisy on weekends with drunk people around on the streets outside. Ended up watching movies until about 3am because couldn't get to sleep. Pillows a bit hard?. Old tv. Car park very small and hard to get in and out of. No electric blanket Poor lighting I would have liked a restaurant menu in my room not just RS menu Lifts a bit clunky and scary. I was unable to watch sky sports 2 channel even though the hotel folder clearly stated it had that channel. I missed out on watching the semis of rugby league. work on building next door, but only a slight irritant as hours were good and noise not too severe. It wasn't five star luxury, but then the price wasn't five star either - so not really a criticism.
