As commented by others, Max, Robyn and the rest of the staff were most friendly and helpful. Due to a delayed ferry our arrival was later than planned but Max waited up for us and gave us a proper welcome, despite the late hour. He also made some very good activity and restaurant recommendations the next day which were spot on. The accommodation is very well appointed with everything you could possibly need and very comfortable as well as spotless.
所有评语 » This was the Best hotel we have stayed in on all of our travels in the US, Europe and Asia in the past 20 plus years. Max and Robyn have thought of everything to make the hotel feel like you are in the comfort of a home, yet still on vacation. Bed was amazing, soft, cushy carpeting in bedroom and living room, great electronics, bathroom you could live in, and much more. On top of it all Max and Robyn are as friendly as they come. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful.....suggested all the great restaurants/cafes and must do's during our stay in Nelson. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Location was awesome, easy short walk into the city etc. We would without a doubt stay here again and recommend to anyone going to Nelson. Thanks. We loved every minute of our stay in the Sails. This is a 5 stars establishment posing as a motel. The owners Max and Robyn are great, very helpful and friendly. Room is terrific, it exceeds any expectations, and so is the bathroom. It is the best accommodation we enjoyed during our visit to New Zealand. The cleanest most comfortable motel I have ever stayed in. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud.... The staff were very helpful when I had to alter my dates prior to staying and went out of their way to accommodate me... much appreciated. This establishment sets the standard others should follow. This top class accommodation was the first stop on our NZ holiday and set the bar high! Good quality tea and coffee, not the usual cheap motel type! Loved the snuggly bath robes. Proprietors really friendly and helpful. Quiet location. Easy walk to town. Free WiFi. Everything! The facilities, the decor, the owners Robyn and Max who offered to drive us into town for dinner and then we would cab it back, the bathroom, the shower, the location (a short walk into the main city area) a "George Clooney" coffee maker. absolutely 10/10. We liked every thing about the Sails from the modern, well equipped accommodation , the facilities , the free bikes, beach towels, free launderette to the fact that we were welcomed and advised so well bt Robyn. We would have loved to stay longer. A fantastic place. Fantastic hosts. Stunning and chic new rooms. Beautifully decorated, and the beds were soo comfy with stunning quality linen. Bathrooms and kitchen were first class and well equipped with all the mod cons. Very central. Wished we could have stayed there longer. Lovely first-rate accommodations. Very new and beautifully maintained. Max is a great manager--friendly and helpful. He gave us useful pointers and info. about traveling in this beautiful country. Would definitely stay here again!. From what we saw in our travels throughout NZ, it was the best of about 20 hotels/motels. The apartments were will appointed, attention to detail outstanding, very helpful with the local restaurants & wineries, and their breakfast was beautifully presented with fresh produce. We have already booked a return stay. The service of the staff was exceptional... They went "the extra mile" and were by far the best for "service" on our trip. Well located and close to the shops.... I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending them to others.... Our room was spotless and very tastefully decorated. The room had everything we needed. The bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in!! Location was great, we walked to the town centre in a few minutes. Accomodation was sleek, modern yet comfortable, warm & inviting. On our tour of NZ we found The Sails the best and most comfortable place we have stayed in. The owners were extremely helpful and provided first class facilities, nothing was too much trouble. Very welcoming friendly service quite and very comfortable. Facilities in the rooms are all top notch, soundproofing. The motel is a little out of town but the walk to the centre and the supermarket takes only about 10 minutes and is flat. Driving is easy with no parking problems, so it's hard to describe this as being something we didn't like!. No ice but that is standard in New Zealand and Australia; we are just use to having ice in US. We had to go home!. Absolutely nothing we did not like. Perhaps the bed was just a smidge too big, too soft for me but it was something I can very easily overlook. Nothing. Initially worried about being on a main road, but it was not an issue. Nothing. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Nothing. Nothing at all. -The only dislike: Cleaning product left strong chemical odour in room after servicing. NOTHING!!!!!!!! and we mean that. No complaints or dislikes whatsoever. N/A. The bed was way too soft and sinky. Like sinking into a padded hammock. I got a sore back and actually slept the last half of the night on the floor which of course was way too hard. Nothing. I had nowhere to put my toiletry bag and had to put it on the floor. Just a minor design flaw?. There was nothing to dislike. Nothing. Not applicable. We had trouble during the intitial locating, but after our oringinal difficulties, we were fine. Garden light was too bright into bedroom, but minor issue fixed by hosts. Room faced a busy street but sound proof windows and almost no overnight traffic - it was not a problem. Don't like having to strip bed of all those cushions. But by the 3rd day the staff had worked out that I didn't need anyting but a top sheet. Everything was just perfect. Nothing.
