  I certainly recommend this place as an excellent base for exploring the city of Amsterdam, whilst being able to retreat to a nice peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle.   A very nice place to stay with friendly and especially helpful staff. Breakfast is good, the place is spotless, and it is to very close to the sights, and the train station. Since it is a docked boat it is also very quiet. Don't forget it is a boat cabin what you will get.   We had a great stay in this lovely house with a very kind owner family and naughty dog. The greeting board was in Mandarin, which truly made us at home.   We loved everything! Except the stairs. Our room was up 5 floors of steep stairs but if you can get over that... The rest was awesome!   There was not one thing I did not like about my stay at the 'Hotel Het OudeRaadhuis', it was beyond all my expectations and one of the top highlights of my vacation.
