Very good value for money in a city where most hotels are on the expensive side. This is a still partially-soviet style hotel, ie. mixture of of cheaper single rooms with toilets but no shower (shower in the corridor) and double rooms with bathroom, and at each floor, 22-hr open small room with cleaning lady, where one can have hot water for tea, etc. The reception is very helpful, better is you can speak some basic russian of course. As of april 2013, I had no problem with wifi, it's good, th.
所有评语 » We got a great view of the mountains, complete with balcony, for one of the cheapest nightly prices in the city. The location, right across from the Green Bazaar and five minutes from the cathedral park, was great. One of the staff members, who worked quite regularly, is fantastic and speaks perfect English. She was super helpful! Maids and other staff were friendly as well. That was quite good. The price is good as well as all facilities are provided for everyone at request. The thing that I enjoyed the most is friendliness as well comfort. There wasn't any background noise that could disturb people. Ailel the receptionist is great! She managed to find us cheap taxis going around town and is very friendly. Value for Money Good food Location english speaking staff (sometimes). Very good facilities and location for such a cost. Too noisy as doors are thin and do not hold off the noise. I could not get the wifi to work. Had the same problem elsewhere in country, maybe because I have Canadian computer/who knows. The streets near to hotel are bit overcrowded. Little defects of the furniture. It would be good to have more information packs about Almaty i.e. tourist guides, bus information,.. They should try to be more helpful in providing contacts with good , local, sensibly priced taxis,... most receptioniat are cheerless. no shower availaible in room. view from window. towels were stinky. the rooms are not cleaned. There are some problems about the shower in the shared bath room. A little bit dirty, the wall were very thin, bed linen is not very clear. The service is very limited. It did shock me that they never refresh the towel!. No shower in the room - only a sink. Cleanness. near bezar means not only shopping posibilities but also disturb. not friendly reception. no daily cleanless.and when u demonstrate they answer you that u live in economic hotel.!! no towels anx bedsheets changing, only every 3 days!!. Is very dirty. Nonprofessional relation of the service personnel!. - Located near the market; - Dirty area; - Too noisy; - Can't sleep after 23:00 PM due to noise;. Terrible place, dirty, didn't like at all.
