Although a little difficult to locate at first, Simonetta Gianni met us in the square and promptly took our luggage to the top floor of a B&B in the heart of Sienna with wonderful views of rooftops and the tower.   First, I need to explain that this is like a house or apartment with a small living room and kitchen area and then several floors of rooms with shared bathrooms inside of a larger building that houses other residences and some offices, as well. It is not a hotel, per se. One could use the kitchen (put items in the refrigerat - A bit of a find, this - right in the centre of Siena, the many stairs lead to a top floor maze of linked apartments managed from the floor below. Astonishing views from both communal areas and some rooms. Kitchen extremely well set up and spacious - could happily cook a family meal here if travelling on a budget. Theres even a freezer. Owners good-natured and helpful eg: allowed us to leave bags there on last day to pick up later.

  The location was fantastic, really central to everything. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was quaint with wonderful beamed ceilings. I loved the mixture of old and new. The bathroom was spotless and very modern with free toiletries( which actually were lovely) .
