  The location was perfect. Very near transportation and good resturaunts, and the breakfast was filling and enjoyed by my kids.   Location is excellent in - walking distance to most major attractions. Lots of good restaurants close by. Room size was great, very spacious and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast - in the room or on the common terrace - very good. This is a b&b on the 2nd floor of an old block, and once you get to the 2nd floor it's excellent, the rooms are large, well fitted out, clean and well serviced. However, although the booking photos show the plaza, the entrance to the building is a steel barred gate on a small side street which the taxi found tough to locate. The initial impression from the entrance gate is therefore not as expected.

Eating breakfast on the terrace at any time that suited us, overlooking the city was a great start to every day and then in the evening we could relax in the roof top spa pool.   We loved the location, we just stepped out of the door and we were near the heart of Rome. The owner, Andrea really looked after us, he provided snacks and water/coffee all the time we stayed, it was a very homely, friendly place with a communal area and balcony to relax. We would not hesitate to go back. - Fantastic location. We only had 2 days in the city and were able to easlily walk to all the sites. Breakfast was filling and delicous. There is an open kitchen with 24 hour access to complimentary coffee, tea, water, juice and little snacks that made our stay extremely pleasant and relaxed. The rooms are beautiful and modern renovations of an old historic building.

U do not need to use public transport if you stay here. Secondly, the host Simone was a very gracious man. Very helpful with advice and booking tickets etc. Lastly, the breakfast was the best we ever had in Italy by far. As well as the usual bread, cheese, salami, pastries we actually got cereal and they even cooked us an omelette every morning. Highly recommend B

  Hotel Clarisse is lovely. Simple rooms but clean and comfortable. However it's the staff that make it a great hotel. They go out of their way to help you with your traveling plans around Rome and make you feel welcome. Sergio in particular was wonderful to us. I would stay here again simply for the service. - The hotel staff were all very nice and extremely helpful. They assisted with setting up tours and transportation. They even packed our breakfast to go, since our tour departed before the restaurant opened. We didn't spend much time in the room other than to shower and sleep, but the rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning (August!) and doors that opened to the courtyard. We were able to walk to many of the major sites. It was lovely.

We had some difficulty with the guy at the desk and no English, but it just added to the charm of knowing you were in Italy.
