  We booked 2 studio's for a family city trip. Which happened to be a perfect choice for this purpose. Spacious rooms with all necessary comfort, soundproof (provided that the windows are closed) and clean. The free WiFi deserves a special mention: perfect quality everywhere (router/AP in 1 of the 2 rooms we booked)! The - Exellent location (5 minutes walk to Okrogon metro and fast tram stations; 10 minutes walk to St. Istvan Cathedral). Lot of restaurants and cafes nearby. Very clean room with new furniture and all necessary equipment (big refrigerator, oven, teapot, hair fan etc.) We stayed here for week and category of our room was upgraded - that's why we lived in 2-room apartments.   If you want to experience an intimate an old world Hungarian expereience then the Kalmar Panzio is the place to stay. Forget the sterile comforts of the IBIS and other hotels. The host of the Kalmar is Eztar she is friendly and creates a wonderful atmosphere for visitors with her intimate knowlege of Hungarian culture. The breakfast in the morning is another highlight. - We had a wonderful stay at Kalmar Pensio. It is a beautiful 120 year old mansion comverted into a Pension in an excellent location. It is very near the Chain Bridge in Budapest, right behind the Gellert Baths and so easily accessible to all major sightseeing venues yet in a residential area. The Manager, Ester made us very welcome and was very informative and helpful. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and a huge bathroom! What more could you ask for?!
