  We chose to stay at Phidias Piraeus because we needed a hotel close to the port seeing we were taking a ferry at 7:25 am. Well they were wonderful! First, we got there early from our other location and we needed to get our rental car back to downtown Athens. They had no problem in letting us leave our luggage there while we took our car back. It has been recently refurbished, so both our room and the public areas were clean and modern. The friendly staff were courteous and very efficient at their jobs. We were welcomed with a small bottle of wine and given advice about local restaurants and shops. The hotel is located in a nice safe part of Piraeus, near the marina, shops and many restaurants. After reading a previous review that the accommodation was up a hill I was apprehensive however we couldn't have been more pleased.   This is one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in. The staff were outstanding. Very helpful with suggestions particularly for restaurants in the area and catching the metro/ferries etc. The room was large and very comfortable with a mini kitchen. It is well located in the Plaka district and easy walk to Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, - The hotel is charming, beautiful, clean with a staff that is so helpful and welcoming. They provide champagne and chocolates upon arrival. Additionally, they helped us with our boarding passes. They are right in the Plaka district within walking distance to many of the attractions. Loved it. And, I purposely left a pair of sneakers there and when I returned home there was an e mail letting me know that I had left them....and they wanted to know what I wanted them to do with them. Once a week the family arrange a Greek evening with dance and Greek food. Very freindly staff, - I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend, and the owners were very kind and helpful. They did everything to make us feel comfortable. The room had a fantastic view and it was an excellent service. Breakfast was really tasty and the only day I had dinner at the hotel, the food, the table, the service, everything, was more than I expected, 10 out of 10. Also, their homemade white wine was really superb. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Poros, beautiful island!
