  We arrived in early hours of the morning after travelling most of the night, with this in mind the staff were very efficient and accommodating to ensure that check in was quick and effortless.   We chose to stay at Phidias Piraeus because we needed a hotel close to the port seeing we were taking a ferry at 7:25 am. Well they were wonderful! First, we got there early from our other location and we needed to get our rental car back to downtown Athens. They had no problem in letting us leave our luggage there while we took our car back. We checked out early purely because we wanted more of an island experience rather than an 'Athens city' one. You will definitely get the feel of what it's like living right in the middle of Athens.   The brother and sister team that run the hotel were the most hospitable people I have ever met. They did everything to make our stay the best it could be. Clean towels and regular room cleaning was a real bonus as was the air con. Would go back there and recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of fun and a bit of peace. Not too commercial.
