  We arrived in early hours of the morning after travelling most of the night, with this in mind the staff were very efficient and accommodating to ensure that check in was quick and effortless.   The hotels is quiet, clean and with a fantastic breakfast. One of us was sick and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. We extended our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. As for the comments about the neighbourhood, except for one street between the museum and the polytechical school it was just fine. But the room was big and clean. On the opposite side of the street is Polytechnic School so we had no "neighbours" looking through our window. Brekfast fine late check out great friendly staff - overall ok - Location PERFECT, steps from the metro which is very easy to navigate in Athens. Staff SUPER helpful and informative, rooms luxurious. Bear in mind this is a budget hotel, but probably because it is not in the center. But for the value, the hotel was clearly recently renovated and impeccably so. I stayed just one night and it was easy from the ferry and easy to the airport.

  We chose to stay at Phidias Piraeus because we needed a hotel close to the port seeing we were taking a ferry at 7:25 am. Well they were wonderful! First, we got there early from our other location and we needed to get our rental car back to downtown Athens. They had no problem in letting us leave our luggage there while we took our car back. Then he added that he has such cable at home and will - The hotel was situated very close to the metro with lots of little restaurants and shops scattered around the area. Unfortunately it isn't very close to the beach, however you can take a couple of trains and get there relatively easily in about 40mins. We checked out early purely because we wanted more of an island experience rather than an 'Athens city' one. You will definitely get the feel of what it's like living right in the middle of Athens. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
