  The breakfast buffet was excellent. Also, the hotel was right on the lake, just a few steps away from several lakeside restaurants (which had indoor and outdoor seating).   Room and bathroom clean - good breakfast - Staff very helpful. Location central -very easy access to both U bahn and S bahn as well as Hbf. Although single room was compact it contained facilities to a good standard. Breakfast excellent.

It's a short walk to central station but is well equipped with a number of cafes/bars downstairs. The walk from the train station does involve passing by several "exotic" shops and streetwalkers, but this is germany, and any hotel near to a railway station is going to involve an interesting walk.

It's close to shopping and sights, too, and if you're not too burdened with luggage, you can walk from the cruise center (we did, with 50-pound bags).   I really enjoyed staying in this very nice old hotel in an original old building which has been nicely renovated.   This is an older German gasthäus so it is what it is. However, you would be hard put to find a modern hotel as clean as this place. It was spotless. My room, #21, was very quiet and comfortable. I also felt very safe in the area. This place is close to everything including some very good restaurants. Would return wi - I've stayed here numerous times, love the central location near the main train station and the happening street nearby with cafes, bars and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Never tried the breakfast as I usually go to one of the nearby cafes or bakeries due to sleeping in. It's always my first choice to stay here. Free wifi. Some rooms have no bathroom, so you need to make sure what you're after...
