  The staff were fantastic. My partner was suffering from acute backpain when we arrived and as a result was unable to leave the hotel during our stay.   We have been travelling for four months and have stayed in some wonderful places. Villa Alkener was a highlight of our trip. It has a spectacular view of the Mosel River with boats drifting slowly by and trains meandering around the base of the mountains,.   Very modern & clean. Very nice breakfast and the owner was exceptionally nice. Overall good value, but if you need a good night's sleep, do not get a room on the street side. - Location in downtown is great. Many restaurants within a short walk, and close to everything within Kaiserslautern. Staff is great and friendly, with good service.
