  Very old property. Ambience. Large rooms with brick/stone floors. Comfortable beds. Hosts charming and very helpful. Best for a stop over, we wish we had had two nights. Laon is not a place we had considered before. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Will go back to this property for our next stop over.   The hotel was not open until 16:00 but that is as described in the information supplied. I just forgot! T - This is a gem of a hotel. The proprietor, Matthieu ensures a very warm welcome and clearly has great pride in his hotel. The 18th Century building has been lovingly restored to retain all of its original features and provide an ambience that feels like time dilates as you step inside. Clean, well priced and charming, one of the most enchanting hotels I've ever stayed in
