My husband and I stayed for two nights in one of the newly remodeled fourth floor rooms. Very nicely done with keeping the old Hume hotel design yet quiet, comfortable and climate controlled. Always enjoy the complimentary breakfast and the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had a great time in Mike's pub watching a hockey game on the huge screen. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I stayed on the 4th floor where the hotel has newly renovated the Room. The room was really good (brand new) and the bed was perfect to sleep on. The restaurant was nice and Breakfast was also good. Highly recommended to anyone.
所有评语 » The newly remodeled rooms, fine craftsmanship, done to match the historic look and feel of the hotel. The entire staff, front desk, maids, bartenders, wait staff, etc, very friendly and helpful. The town of Nelson, a young, arty, vibrant community. The Hume is a historic hotel that is being beautifully restored. Be sure to ask for the restored rooms, with air conditioning and every amenity. Lovely staff at Front Desk and Dining Room. Certainly top notch in a small town, and excellent value. every thing, I will be back in September as I said, after all I have tickets to the roof party, so watch out let's party, I will let you know soon when I will be there, Thanks to all, leave the bell the way it is, I love annoying everyone. That they had so many places to eat and drink within the hotel, you didn't have to leave. The food and drinks were great as was the service. We will definitely be back. The breakfast was fabulous both days!. Our room was fully renovated and absolutely beautiful. I most enjoyed the fact that both beds were separated by the washroom so it felt like you had your own room even though you were sharing w a friend. Nice clean room and it was air conditioned. Stayed during the week & had no noise issues with the restaurant/bar below. Had a lovely dinner in restaurant in hotel below, food and service was great!. Newly refurbished rooms excellent air conditioning system which was virtually silent Large breakfast included Live music Mon - Thurs in Library Bar - unobtrusive little jazz combos Central location. It is a very nicely up-dated and restored historic hotel. We had guests meet us for dinner in the Library restaurant and had an excellent meal and a great evening. A really nice place to stay. We always stay here when we are in Nelson. The room we had with 2 queen beds was a huge heritage room. Everything was spotless. Beds very comfortable. Excellent staff and superior service. Rooms nicely decorated in subtle color tones. Tri-levels of dinning pleasures for different tastes and budgets. Beautiful vintage hotel in a great location. If you stay here be sure to ask for a room away from the pub and lounge or you will get no sleep. Loved the character of the heritage site. Room Renovations are well done. Restaurant is awesome, free breakfast and Nelson was beautiful. Room lovely and comfortable. Staff outstanding. We had a house sale come through, with endless Faxing which they handled cheerfully. Love Nelson, and the Hume Hotel is in a great location. The staff was friendly and professional, the room was lovely and clean. I loved the decor. I really liked the breakfast that was included in the price of the room. The eggs benedict was delicious. Great location, great breakfast(!!!), huge space--we have a 2 Queen-Bed room, it is actually more like a 2 bed suite. The location, charm, friendly staff, newly renovated rooms. Breakfast was excellent and included with the room. the layout of our room... breakfast was included... the staff was friendly... the location was perfect. Authentic old look. Very clean for an old room. Hopefully they keep the same look after renovation. Style, heritage charm, close to shops, restaurents and surrounded by gorgeous scenery. Everything was great from the staff to the establishment. Highly recommend!!. Everything was as stated - cost, food, service, location, etc. All good. Great food...friendly staff..bonus for not using daily housekeeping. The renovated room we stayed in was luxurious and clean. Location, Convenience, amenities, staff, comfort. We liked it all. comfotable. location great restaurant and bar great. Decor of the heritage hotel. location. food. I have a problem with elevators and the Hume's elevator bothered me. Very small and quite a "jerk" when it stops on the desired floor. I realize that you can't just rebuild an elevator in an old hotel, so I avoided the elevator as much as possible by using the stairs!. Nothing. No morning room service (or at least coffee makers in the rooms). nothing. Construction noise -- but they have to do it sometime. The noisy club downstairs. It wasn't too bad on the 3rd floor but you could still kind of hear it. Very few parking spots in lot so we paid for parking in an adjoining public parking lot. No ramps for luggage up to lobby. Slightly scary lurching elevator No grab bars in shower Walls seemed thin -we could hear people in hall as if they were in our room. No posted offer to allow us to reuse our towels ( fairly common practice these days). No a/c in heritage rooms. Our room was right above the Spirit Bar. Zero sleep as music pounded up through floor and loud patrons. When we told the front desk they were very aware of the noise issue. Manager of this hotel needs to stay a night in this room to truly understand how bad it is. Time was too short. I could have stayed longer. Really, nothing comes to mind. The stay was great!. capet smells a bit old; noise from club could be heard--we were tried engough to ignore it, haha. The noise from the pub. I thought the room could be a little cleaner - pillow sham smelled of someone's hair product. The room was above AC heat exchangers and the kitchen exhaust fans. Some street noise. Nothing. No parking for a full size pick-up. Had to park on the street. liked everything. Nothing that we did not like. Cost. rennovations. Noise, too hot, poor parking. There was no coffee maker in the room. A little too much furniture in the room - probably to many big chairs. one door did not close softly it slammed shut every time it was opened, numerous times. Reported it to front desk, for adjustment to the unit on top of door. Parking Elevator - old bumpy. No parking for clients unless you lucked out on a few stalls available On your website parking was noted as available . Room on second floor old ,( I didn't know cathode ray TV's 20 inch still available) but clean and spacious but NOISY unable to sleep as bar music and loud conversation went on to 0130 hrs Checked out the next day despite booked for 3 day stay Staff very helpful in finding us a room in another hotel. We stayed in Rm. #346 and it was a downhill experience. Lol. A nightclub and an older hotel with poor sound insulation is not a good combination. night club at lower level of hotel blasting music till 2am and than all the drunks running around hotel. noise.
