  This is a great pousada. Rooms are very comfortable and the whole place has a tropical vacation feel. Breakfast is plentiful and good, served on a lovely patio. And the owner is very helpful in finding your way (speaks English well). Paraty is quite a hub and would make a lovely honeymoon spot. - Probably best B&B I have ever stayed at. Beautifully decorated, lovely helpful English speaking staff and excellent breakfast. Also we had some flight issues and they discounted an extra night's stay at short notice and also arranged a pizza delivery for us at 11pm when we turned up tired and starving! Also booked an excellent waterfall jeep tour with them. Would most definitely come back again :)

They were also able to check us in early and allowed a late checkout, which was fantastic for our rather hectic travel schedule.   Location was excellent if you have a car -- a 2-3 minute drive to the edge of the historic area. The pousada is right on the river, which you can see from both the pool and the open-air restaurant.
