  It was a lovely few days, the bed was very comfy, and the facilities were great. Brekfast was lovely and Barry and Di are great hosts and very helpful. Would recommend staying here to anyone. Lovely - Loved the room, the staff were great, views spectacular, fantastic breakfast, sounds and sights of native birds and climate.

  We had a private room and it was REALLY private - not like in other hostels where you share a paper wall with neighbours. The hostel looks a little like a motel but it is clean and peacfull and on the main street.   This was one of the best places we stayed in Australia. Excellent location right on on beautiful Magnetic Island, right on the beach, which you will have mostly to yourself. I had the opportunity to go back to Magnetic Island after my first visit and knew that i would go back to the Arcadia Guest House. The facility has two kitchens fully equipped (if you are in a space without a kitchen), lots of space to hang out and relax with movies and books, a washing machine, the setting is very tropical with birds and all and it's directly across the street from the beach and just a short walk

  They were great! We had an unplanned late arrival and I had been unable to call to warn them. When we arrived they were closed and I was terrified that we would have a problem.   We have been using the Balinese for 10 years and it has always been a good stay. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The staff have been great and have even taken personal time to help. The location is great, close enough to central Cairns, but far enough away where you don't have to put up with the noise and traffic.
