It was much quieter than staying downtown, with easy access to the bus and not far from Golden Gate Park by car. Good restaurants within an easy walk. It's not a luxury hotel, but perfectly adequate and well cared for. Parking is limited, but it wasn't hard to find a spot in that neighborhood. - Friendly personnel, location, beds

Friendly and efficient staff, quick check-in (and a couple of hours earlier than scheduled time), nice breakfast, quiet and comfortable room, nice toiletery products in the bathroom, great proximity to Union Square and public transport, great value for money. The hotel has a lovely feel to it - pleasant staff on arrival; comfortable rooms; well positioned for an easy stroll into town and access to all amenities. A free daily happy hour from 4pm to 6pm was a very welcome unexpected bonus. As the name of the hotel might suggest there are strong links to the military and as a visitor from the UK it was pleasing to see the level of respect that is shown.

I'm not sure why this hotel doesn't get better reviews. My
girlfriend and I stayed for two days and had a great experience. The
staff was friendly, the location was great, room was clean and updated.
We stayed in room 404, which I highly recommend. There was a private
full balcony off the room that provided a complete unobstructed view of

Terrific suite with fantastic view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Welcoming
and helpful staff. Convenient parking, although daily charge of $25 plus
tax seemed a little high. Good continental breakfast, with fresh fruit,
pastries, and bagels, bread, preserves etc. Great location for walking
to Fishermans Wharf etc, or the great value bus into the city.

This hotel is perfect: being a few blocks from the city's downtown means you don't get the "undesirable" local residents outside the door. However, being on the city's main bus line, catching a bus is quick, easy, even exciting.

Convenient location out of the busy downtown area. Parking was a plus! Clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Loved the coffee and danish in the morning and Ella's restaurant at the corner. Room was comfy and the kitchenette was nice to have available.

For the price it had everything I expected and more. While small the spa area and exercise area were superior and the staff GREAT. I just wish it opened earlier than 9 am. The staff was very good as was the business center ( small but adequate). I would stay t here again and would recommend it to others.

It was in a perfect location for conference at a Union Square hotel as well as shopping and entertainment. I'd definitely stay there again. Loved it.

Närheten till city. - Nice old building but well maintained and recently renovated; the rooms are not too big but they manated to use the space efficiently and the room doesn't seem crowded. The history and design of the building.
Gorgeous. The bedroom was lovely and the bed and bedding was extremely comfortable. Amenities in the bathroom were very nice quality as well
Carpet needs cleaning or needs to be replaced.
I loved the jazz band in the restaurant and the bartenders were very gracious and the service was terrific. -

There is no negative thing i would mention.
The room was new and clean. Breakfest ok. Really good position of the hotel is just perfect (about 10min to the Town Hall)! The park place is small but all the guests found a place while we were there.
And finally yes, there are some homeless people arround the hotel, but we didn´t feel uncomfortable or

The staff was very friendly and flexible when our plans changed. Parking facility was excellent and secure. - The room was super clean, oversized and the tub drained!! :) Parking was limited but free! The free coffee was better than Starbucks! The hotel is only a block from the bus to get to Pier 39.
