  We traveled with an 8 year old. The room even with a rollaway bed was very large. The city/lake view was great. The highlight for our child was the dessert - a snickerdoodle ice cream sandwich - from the restaurant. It is conveniently located. - It was our 25th anninersary.   The location is very central and everything is within a short walking distance. We had a great room on the 29th floor with panoramic view of the city and lake.   Beautiful older Hotel renovated in the last few years, We were there for our Anniversary and got a really nice room with a great view of the lake on the 26th floor. Glad we got a good deal on letsbookhotel.com for $229… The normal rate for the room was $519… ( For me it was definitely a $200 room but not a $500 room ) Great location one block off ... vad folk säger » of Michigan Ave, and across the street from the John Hancock Building which has a crazy beautiful and expensive restaurant on the 95th floor but also - Staff was wonderful. Room was nice and big. I never heard any other guests. Right across the street from John Hancock building. Elegant. I liked how I could close the doors to the bedroom and watch tv in the living area. I had a late plane flight and they let me stay until 3p check out for no charge. Concierge was awesome.

  We loved everything. We have stayed at several large and boutique hotels on the Gold Coast and the Peninsula is probably the best across the board. I have a difficult last name, but all of the staff immediately remembered it and also pronounced it correctly. - The location couldn't have been more convenient!   The hotel is in an excellent location. I really like the courtyard and the clean environment.The staff were excellent especially the janitors - 5 star service. Warm and friendly staff. The fact that they do not accept tips made their committment to excellence all the more valid.
