  The hotel is in an excellent location. I really like the courtyard and the clean environment.The staff were excellent especially the janitors - 5 star service. Warm and friendly staff. The fact that they do not accept tips made their committment to excellence all the more valid.

  We traveled with an 8 year old. The room even with a rollaway bed was very large. The city/lake view was great. The highlight for our child was the dessert - a snickerdoodle ice cream sandwich - from the restaurant. It is conveniently located. - It was our 25th anninersary. Starting our experience a week before arrival the hotel's concierge, jen, helped make our trip an unforgettable experience by arranging the best reservations for us at great restaurants and jazz venues.   I liked the fact that it's the oldest operating hotel in the country & there is lots of history there. The design is elaborate & like a palace.
