  I booked this hotel for a quick two day trip to see San Francisco with our kids based on the good price compared to nearby hotels, not really expecting much in the way of facilities. My wife even encouraged me to reconsider after out of fear it would not be clean or safe. I'm happy to say we were very surprised and happy with this property. Thank you for the pleas - Good budget-friendly hotel. We stayed for 2 days & walked or bussed the whole time. Very central location to everything. We walked from the hotel to Pier 39/Fisherman's Warf, Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square, then would take the bus back. We did this with a 5 year old & a 2 year old. The rooms were clean & tidy with plenty of space. I would definitely stay here again.

  This is a good location if you want to visit Marina District. If you want to go to the Golden Gate for instance. We actually rent bikes and from the hotel we could go to the golden gate, the road was stunning. We also could reach downtown through the embarcadero st which is also very nice.   Pacific Heights Inn is a true gem. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times - in 1999, 2004 and now in 2013 and each time the place was just right!It's not a "fancy place" but it's not a dive at all. Quaint and comfortable. Are group of 4 adults stayed in room 26 & 27 - adjoining rooms each containing a very comfortable king sized bed. Ernesto checked us in and he went out of his way to ensure a very good room for us. Also suggested some great ideas on what to do. Jonah in the morning was extremely efficient meeting our needs as wells as other clients. He was very professional and made calls to secure a bike activity we were to undertake.   I did not expect much of the hotel, considering previous reviews. But for the price and location, it was excellent. It's tough to find a decent room in a good location for under $100/night in this city! The hotel is situated right on Lombard street, close to the 30 Stockton bus and the 22 Fillmore bus.   The location is good, the neightboorhood is really quiet and safe and there is some small places to grab something to eat... close to lombard street which is reall close to the fisherman wharf and its easy to catch the buses from there... the place is clean and really confy.. we were not expecting much because of the price..but once we got there w... vad folk säger » e were amazed, cuz the room was really nice and look really fancy actually, cable and wifi were good and the personal was really helpfull. - It looks a bit run down on the outside, but inside the rooms have been renovated and are very nice indeed: meticulously clean, very comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in ours, very handy. Spotless bathroom. Free (ample) parking in SF is invaluable. Location is very good too, just a very short walk off the lively Union street, convenient for buses... Overall, definitely recommended, we'll stay there again if we're ever in the area.

  A good and convenient hotel to stay in while you are in San-Francisco. 20-25 minutes from Airport by taxi (~45-50$). This hotel doesn't have shuttles. Marina district is one of the most expensive and picturesque regions in the city. 10 minutes walk to the Museum of Fine Arts. 20 minutes walk to Lombard street & the most popular Pier 39. 30 min... vad folk säger » utes walk to Downtown. A lot of shops & mini markets around. Breakfasts are not included. Free WiFi, clear rooms and hospitable personnel. Own par - I had a room that was large and very clean. Frig and microwave in room. It was easy access to the street, and I love this area of San Francisco. Close to Palace of Fine Arts, the Marina and shopping on Chestnut St. If the price is as competitive next year as this year when I visit San Francisco, I will definitely stay there.

  Everything was excellent! I have stayed in hotels price much higher that were no where near as nice as this one! It wasn't a luxury hotel of course, but as a home base for a city trip I couldn't ask for more. Since is it on Lombard street we were happy that they had onsite parking, instead of having to park on the busy street.
