  Yak Hostel was a great hostel, only 15 walking minutes to the independence square. The hostel is situated on the 16th floor of business building, therefore we had an impressive view over the whole city, some rooms had direct view on the Olympic stadium. Make a note: you need to know where to look for the place: you make turn into a yard and then go down on the right side of that yard to get into an inner yard all the way on the back. It's a large flat converted into a hostel, so building is just a regular apartment building - no big signs or anything...   Perfect location. Comfortable temperature in the room (not stuffy) Very clean. Pleasant and stylish design. A twin-room is cosy and cute and has a balcony. The staff speaks English fluently.   Very good hostel, one of the best what i stayed. Stuff very friendly, all girls what was at reception, and all people in cafe (nice food btw!) was really friendly, nice and proffessional. We booked room for 2 people with privat bathroom, room was really nice, clean. Good design inside. Was very nice, that we asked about early (2 hours earler) arrival, and there was - It is an almost perfect hostel. It is very well organised and run. The girls on reception are friendly and polite, especially Myrna. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The location is great and if you prefer not to walk up the steep hill to the old town, the metro is 5-mins away and very cheap. The food in the cafe was great and well priced. The service was a little slow but the staff were friendly. I had a great time here and is definitely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in in ov

  This is a very well located hostel about 5 mins walk to Main Square and in a bustling neighbourhood with good restaurants and bars. The rooms and beds were bright and spacious just like the pictures and very quiet ensuring we all got a good nights sleep. - Very good location. Very friendly accommodating staff. Also clean bathrooms, warm water bath tub, and a kitchen to cook or just enjoy company.   Pretty much everything! Wonderful hostel. After booking we got a confirmation from the hostel with a good description on how to find it. We were warmly welcomed, spontaneously given a map with a lot of tips about things to do and see in Kiev. The lady was very friendly and prepared a nice breakfast for us.   Great place for the traveler who needs a comfortable place to sleep, but no need luxury. The hostel has simple, modest decor but very clean and comfortable. I especially want to note the friendly and welcoming staff ready to help u with any inquiries!
