  First the location of the hotel is great (city center, major attractions close to hotel). Second the hotel staff is really friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is fine as well. - The staff was very helpfully.The room was small, and since we don't like them, we were mooved to a suite without extra cost.Thanks.

  The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

  I spent some days of my honeymoon two years ago in the hotel. I stayed in both times at a senior suit with a wonderful view facing the east.   Everything was so perfect. A hotel that everyone would dream of. Victoria, the Ukrainian girl, was one of the staff who was showing and telling us about all the available activities in the hotel and I can say the hotel is lucky to find someone like her where I never experience any brilliant way of dealing with customers the same way she was dealin... vad folk säger » g with us.
