  Det mesta var bra. Det är bara synd att man inte får det bästa alternativet när det gäller rummen, man måste alltid fråga om ett bättre rum. - Many features: Location, View of the Bosphorus, the architecture, the garden, the comfort, the 17th floor lounge, etc. etc. all deserving each and every one of the five stars. - Hotel Staff very professional... vad folk säger » and helpful.   The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The c... vad folk säger » oncierge Evren is superb, recommending us of fantastic restaurants (usually nearby, as the location is great) and tours and activities. The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
