  The man at reception was extremely helpful and friendly and gave us an upgrade to a superior room because we had asked for a quiet room and they were holding a performance in the hotel restaurant that night. Located right in the heart of the centre, with easy parking close by, a great find at a reasonable price. Hotel encan - We really liked the hotel.It is a charming building and we had a BBQ dinner in the courtyard which was excellent and the waiters were very friendly and helpful. The room was modern and comfortable.we also could see the castle from the room which was impressive.

  This was one of the favorite hotels on our month in Spain and Portugal. Zafra is a wonderful town with much to see and enjoy. The hotel has a rich history, shared generously with us by the host - he gave us a personal tour of the whole building that was very enriching. We enjoyed knowing the balcony of our 3rd floor room, which has a wonderful ... vad folk säger » view over the plaza below, was used in the past as a viewing platform for bullfights held in the plaza. It felt like we were sleeping in a museum. - We loved everything about this hotel and Zafra. It was most facinating talking to the owner, who told us the building had been in his family since the 1500s (I may have that wrong, but it was centuries). He was so knowledgeable about the area and history recommending several places to visit in and around Zafra. We would love to visit again in the future.

  Hotel is in a superb and quiet situation with stunning views all around. While travelling south from the ferry in Bilbao towards Cadiz, we stayed for one night in one of their bungalows with our dog. This was ideal in giving our dog much more space and freedom than a hotel room.   Zafra is a very pretty town with a lovely main square and cathedral. Casa Palacio Conde de la Corte is a gem, a beautifully restored symmetrical square three storey building with a central glassed in courtyard and a very large patio garden; this divided into three parts with the central section covered by climbers and a raised seating area, a pl... vad folk säger » unge pool to the left with sun loungers and on the right more garden with water features. We were traveling with our two dogs so stayed in room 303 on - I loved this hotel. It was originally a house belonging to a Spaniard involved in raising bulls for the bullfights and also training I would suspect. The rooms (of which there are not a lot) were stunning. Very secure. This was actually my favourite place that we had stayed in.

  We had a really friendly welcome when we arrived a little early. Our room was 208 and the best in the hotel with views over the Plaza!!! It was small, but beautifully furnished and decorated and the bed was really comfortable. We had a delicious dinner served outside on the Plaza - beautifully presented and with local ingredients. A great place to... vad folk säger » stay - in the evening Zafra came alive and had a wonderful atmosphere. - Excellent location on the corner of a lovely square, spotlessly clean, firm but comfortable beds, very helpful staff. A delightful small hotel. We liked it enough to stay a second night. Breakfast was entirely different on Saturday from Friday (Friday was coffee/juice/toast in the bar, Saturday buffet in breakfast room) but both were fine.
