The cosy apartment we had for 2 people had a terrace with a beautiful
view of the mountains and facing south, so we could fully enjoy the
October sunshine. Even though we were worried about the main road being
just behind the apartment, the noise was not disturbing at all and we
did not hear a sound at night. We could park the car right next door

enjoy the quietness and authenticity of the little village (compared to
the touristic neighbour village Pampeneira). The apartment is only a few

we were made very welcome by the kind lady on reception. the apartment was spacious and the views are stunning. the pool is also exceptional. The breakfast was included in our deal and was the best we had on our trip to Spain. would highly recommend this hotel.

It´s a purpose built hostel, not a converted apartment building. The
rooms are very spacious. The staff was exceedingly helpful and very nice
(I can speak spanish, so I can't vouch for their foreign language
skills). There was a small leak on the toilet flush (it can happen in
the best places) when we arrived at about 2100, but the receptionist

Superb location and very spacious room. Felt newly decorated and the
word 'clean' simply can't describe the sparkling perfection
of the rooms and common areas. The photos simply don't do justice to
the hotel/hostal - common areas are beautiful and the building
reminded us of a Moroccan riad.

We enjoyed our stay very much. A beautiful vista of the Alhambra from the roof-top terrace (don't expect to have a good view from your window). We could also recommend the restaurant run by the family at 10 minutes walking distance.

Large room with excellent bathroom. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Perfect location for access to the pistes and all other resort facilities. The only hotel I will need for future trips to Sierra Nevada ! -

The further you go away from the main town (in the direction of the hotel and beyond) the better the beaches get (smaller coves etc). Good to walk in either direction from hotel to explore. Nice local feel to the laid back resort. -
Very friendly staff, made us feel welcome right from the start. Perfectly good room with sea view. Bit of a hike to the town, but we like that. And if you need to take your car, parking in Almunecar (very interesting non touristy town) is free (apart from the underground multi storeys) until July.

Fantastiskt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. De hämtade oss med bil när vi hade vandrat utan att ta extra betalt. Restaurangen är helt underbar med mustiga långkok som specialitet. Vi fick alltid lite extra förätter och en liten digestive drink efteråt. Vill man upp i höga Sierra Nevada är Trevelez perfekt. -

La Fragua 11 is set in a lovely location. The room was very spacious, clean and with a lovely terrace overlooking the mountains.
Staff were very friendly and with lots of knowledge of the surrounding areas, good if you want to do some walking.
The restaurant, which is just 2 minutes down the road was truly excellant.
Very good regional dishes,and very efficient staff and ambiance.
Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hostal Palomares. The owner was one of the nicest people we have met . He even came out onto the street to introduce himself and to welcome us to his hotel. It's very obviously that the owner is very proud of his business and rightly so. A small typically Spanish hotel with amazing service.
