  This is a stunning hotel in a stunning setting. Surrounded by mountains on three sides with far reaching views across the countryside. The food is always first class and sometimes exceptional; they produced imaginative alternatives for a non meat eater. The service is friendly, responsive and relaxed. We had high expectations of the hotel and they were exceeded in every respect. - Fantastic peaceful location tucked away in the foothills. A great get away from it all holiday destination. Rooms are really lovely. The only comment I would make is that the location wouldn't be suited to those less able to walk due the rustic nature of paths. Fantastic food. Will go back again without doubt.

  We had a short stay at the Amapola and could not have wished for anything more. The location was beautiful with the lake to the rear and the beach 5 minutes away. If you hire a car there are numerous destinations worth a visit - The hotel is right on the beach which is sandy, food was fairly good, room clean and spacious with nice view to the pools and sea (pool view apartment), staff polite and helpful.
