  This hostal was amazing. The room was small, but spacious. It had a tv with cable. You can book a two person room for very cheap. Between me and my friend we only paid €25 a night. That means we each paid €12.50 per night. It was very worh it! We had our own bathrooms and the beds where very comfortable. The room was small, but we had a lovely large window with french doors, very clean, rooms cleaned daily, very quiet even though in the centre of the city right off Gran Via.   1. LOCATION is excellent, very close to Metro station (Gran Via) & many city landmarks (Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, can be reached by walk). Hotel surrounding by many shops, big stores and restaurants (Jamon 55, Cafe & Te, Rong Hua chinese restaurant is just few choices). 2. The single room with shower is really nice and cosy, with air condition, sink, good mirrow, a kettle to boil water for tea etc. Also the bed was comfortable. It was my second time I stayed here and I was perfectly happy with everything.

  I spent three week in hostel Estrella and I was really satisfied. The hostel was very clean and landlady was really nice lady. She don't speak english but she always try to help you. Hostel have the best location. Is next to Grad via and Plaza de Espana. If you want to party in the night you will love it the location.   Hostal Mendoza is located in perfect place: next to the central street of Madrid - Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, where you can take the tourist- bus and travel all over the city. Our double-room on the second flour was always clean, the furniture and bathroom (with all the accessories) were new, we had even flat TV-set and the balcony. There was no... vad folk säger » breakfast, but it was not a problem for us, because there are a lot of cafes and restaurants next to Mendoza.Staff on reception was very kind and pos - The location is superb (if a little hard to find down a side street). Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to do everything to make our stay perfect. Was concerned a "hostal" might not be up to scratch but it was like any other 3 star accommodation. Room was large with fairly new ensuite and very comfy beds. There was nothing we didn't like and would definitely stay again.
